Commercetools revolutionizes the enterprise e-commerce platform market with an API-first, cloud-based solution that reduces complexity and increases both flexibility and speed for omnichannel brands and retailers.
Growth-oriented retailers need a commerce infrastructure which offers the flexibility to implement individual functionalities quickly and is resilient enough to safely handle exponential growth. commercetools provides a revolutionary cloud-based commerce platform which allows unlimited integration flexibility, best-in-class performance as well as automatic scaling and lets businesses (re)gain agility and velocity.
In everyday operations, there is no place for worrying about the stability of your commerce infrastructure and wasting valuable resources by maintaining and updating a complex, costly architecture. We provide a cloud-based platform which is updated seamlessly several times a week, so can fully focus on implementing individual functionality.
You do not want to lose business because you have outgrown your current platform. commercetools adapts to you and your customers’ needs: When your business grows, our auto-scaling makes sure your applications stay secure, stable, and fast.
commercetools provides the basis for a modern Microservice architecture that helps decomposing complex structures and (re)gain agility. Your team works with a flexible, well-documented REST-API, and starts building applications within days. Developers can choose from large range of SDKs and samples to further increase their productivity.
Introducing a completely new technology and training your team to use it productively is usually a very time and budget-consuming process. With commercetools, your current infrastructure does not need to be completely replaced. Developers can use the API with any technology they like. This drives down training costs and makes it easier to grow the team.
We live state-of-the-art, agile software development and deployment processes. Work with modern equipment on reactive architectures, micro services and with open source software.
At commercetools, you will meet some of the best brains in the e-commerce industry. Become part of our team and work with us on and with one of the most innovative e-commerce solutions in the market.

I have been working at commercetools full-time (Less than a year)
+ Fun startup culture and work environment: ping pong table in the office, snacks, open work space, lots of autonomy over your work schedule
+ Great team: Lots of communication and positive reinforcement
+ Great benefits
+ Awesome location: Tobacco Road Campus has a plethora of restaurants nearby, tons of outdoors space to sit and eat lunch, and right across from the Durham Bulls stadium
Sometimes the office can be quiet because it's a small team and people have to travel a lot
I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at commercetools (Durham, NC) in September 2016.
The overall process was efficient. After submitting my resume I was contacted within a week for a phone screen. A few days later I was asked to come in for an in-person interview. The team was very friendly and open. The process was great. No complaints. You could certainly feel that the team cares about their company and culture.
