Mission: Change the Game: Innovate, Execute, Deliver
I have been working at freightquote.com full-time (Less than a year)
I've only been here a week but I can already tell this place is awesome! They offer a fun environment (we watched the Royals playoff games at work), fantastic benefits, plenty of PTO, and last but definitely not least, the best base salary I've ever had with a commission based position. The typical inside sales hours 8-5 Mon.-Fri. If you're looking to still make a good living but have that elusive work-life-balance and you're willing to work hard and learn, they'll set you up for success with their 8 week paid training program then send you on the floor where you can hit the ground running!
The food in the cafeteria is pretty expensive and if you live in MO. you'll have to drive through the triangle every morning.
Advice to Management
Keep doing what you're doing. Everyone working here enjoys what they're doing and I wouldn't change a thing.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at freightquote.com (Kansas City, MO) in September 2015.
Starts w/ a phone interview, which was brief. Next, if you pass the phone interview, they'll invite you in for an in person interview. In person interview starts with an HR person then a sales manager. If you make it through both of those steps the sales manager will take you to sit next to an account executive for about 30 minutes. You can ask him/her questions, listen to any phone calls they make, get a first hand look at the job you'd be doing. Finally, a sales director will come get you and take you back to a meeting room and talk to you some more. This all took about 3 hours.
