I have been working at iContact full-time (More than 3 years)

When I moved from Washington, DC, almost three years ago, I wasn't sure I'd find a place that I loved as much as my start-up software marketing job up there. But I've really enjoyed my work life here at iContact. Don't get me wrong, they keep me super busy working on lots of important deadlines and projects, but I can tell that my work actually impacts and improves our company/revenue, so I don't mind so much. There are so many people that I enjoy here, and our leaders listen to me which makes all the difference. No workplace is perfect, of course, but thus far, I've been pleased with my decision to work at iContact.

Software and marketing services are always changing, new ideas are needed and asked for — now, you can either love that, and see it as a fun challenge, or you can be burnt out by the constant need to do something, improve something. I get why some folks think that's a con. Perhaps government work is more your speed. LOL.

    Advice to Management

iContact made its mark as a fun, but intense place to work, way back in 2003, at its start. Keep the lines of communication open with teammates, and let's aim higher, and pick other professionals that also like to be passionate about their careers, and our products. No hiring whiners, or negative naysayers. Let our competitors take those people. ;)

    Software Development Manager Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Raleigh, NC
    No Offer
    Positive Experience
    Average Interview

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at iContact (Raleigh, NC) in February 2017.

Phone screening followed by two on site interviews. First on site was a "peer" interview, second on site was with key members of the dev team. Everyone involved was very professional, respectful of time, and accommodating to some of my schedule limitations. This is a very well thought of company here in the Raleigh area and the interview process shows that this reputation is well deserved. Although I did not get the position, I would highly encourage others to apply and get involved with this company.
