“Though I was excited to join iD Tech as an instructor, I never imagined that a summer job in my teens would have such a lasting impact on my career. Teaching kids to build video games at iD Tech's MIT campus was extremely gratifying, and it reinforced my love of programming. The skills I picked up that summer were a springboard that helped me become an engineer at Amazon and Airbnb. I've stayed friends with other former instructors who went on to work in tech, one of whom became my colleague at Amazon. Few jobs allow young people to impact their communities (teaching kids to code) while building lasting friendships that propel their own careers; iD Tech was a win-win.” - Cody Romano

They are always willing to work with you for scheduling and other issues that may come up. There is always help available on the fly and everything is very interconnected.

Not any cons regarding the company, obviously there are student specific issues but iD Teach supported me with all of those.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at iD Tech Camps (United States)

A few days after submitting my resume I received an email asking me to set up a Zoom interview, with some instructions that I was to prepare a 10-12 minute field test (a sample lesson as it were) including an introduction, icebreaker, and brief lesson. It's a little vague as to what they're expecting from the field test, because they don't give you a class to pretend to teach, or an age group to model towards, but it seems they understand that vagueness and are looking for adaptability. The interviewer was really friendly and covered the job expectations and asked some questions.

How would you handle a situation where the parent is taking notes, writing code, and/or otherwise doing the work for the student?
