kCura – Why Work For Us?

undefinedWe have a Midwestern, grassroots, friendly vibe, and we’re all business and technology geeks who really love what we do. We look for new team members who always put our users first, have a passion for building great solutions, love to work hard and play hard, and appreciate a challenge. We in turn provide them with a breadth of internal education programs, the latest technology, and a clear path to success.

Purchased by our founders in kCura’s early days, the green couch in our reception area says it all. Over the years, it has served as a break room, a think tank, and even an intern’s desk. Yet, its most important function remains—a reminder to be humble and stay hungry.

We provide a complete benefits package that reflects a company-wide commitment to supporting our employees’ professional growth and career development. Our benefits package helps our team stay healthy, achieve their goals, and do their jobs well.

Our core values were proposed and written by our team over the course of six months in 2010, with the goal of identifying what characteristics have helped us be successful up to that point—and what will help us continue to be successful.

  • Be an excellent communicator.
  • Exceed the expectations of our customers and your colleagues.
  • Hold yourself and your colleagues accountable.
  • Be humble and stay hungry.
  • Enjoy and be great at your job.
  • Embrace the talents of your colleagues and our clients.
  • Do more with less.

Our community outreach program works to ensure that youth in our community—especially those with limited resources—have access to the technology, equipment, and training they need to be successful in today’s work environment.

We achieve this through four main avenues: Wired to Learn Grant, Geek Grant, our volunteer program, and community partnerships.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at kCura.

Very disappointing, expected a more generic technical interview based on CS fundamentals like Data Structure and Algorithm for the software company that it is, but instead seemed like a college viva with intense theoretical questions. Name different kinds of design patterns, give 2 examples of each...seriously? C# reflection methods, signature etc, might just refer to Microsoft documentation for that.
