I have been working at nCino full-time (Less than a year)
First off, everyone is respected, regardless of title or tenure, and people are encouraged to shoot for the stars without fear of missing. The software developers are in charge of their workload and how much to commit to (and not a scheduler). We hustle in comfort, bust our butts to make sure we all succeed, yet gather in the breakroom for a beer and good conversation. We celebrate our victories publicly and learn from shortcomings one-on-one (more respectful ). There are also endless opportunities to advance and we truly have a CEO that has our backs and will stand up for us! Today we are having a beer-bag (like a brown bag lunch - just with beer) on how to manager your boss! The benefits are amazing and the work/life integration is fantastic, which allows me the opportunity to work from home if I need to, take off a little early to go to a school function and pick back up later, and my boss trusts me to do my job without micromanaging!
1. Not always my favorite beer on taps
2. Only a mile from the beach and it constantly calls to me (Moana reference)
3. I wish we had on-site fitness and childcare
Advice to Management
Don't ever let the culture and morale change. I have been on several "sides of the fence" and the grass has never been greener! Keep offering opportunities for growth from within, learning opportunities, and challenge us each day to bring our best A-game.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at nCino.
- 2 phone interviews
- an onsite interview infront of a panel of people
- Only a few technical questions asked
- I couldn't put my finger on why the interview felt different. But after reading some of the other interviews on glassdoor for nCino, I would agree that it seemed like they were seeing if I would be a cultural fit. I guess I wasn't.
