I worked at no frills part-time (More than a year)
Laid back, generally friendly atmosphere with reasonable pay and expectations. The front end of these stores are designed in a way that maximizes efficiency while not being overwhelming.
If you are a full time worker you would probably be better off working for a company like superstore that is unionized, as no frills doesn't pay exceptionally well.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at no frills in October 2015.
They were doing a mass hiring for their new store so they did interviews on the spot and if they thought you were a good match they hired you right there. The interview style was that of a panel interview in which there were many interviewers; first a screening interviewer, then an interviewer for the position you wanted and finally the manager interviewed you.
Since the position I was applying for was a part time entry level position I knew that I was most likely only going to get paid minimum wage so I didn't try to negotiate for a higher wage.
