Webinar – Cloud DVR: New Opportunities through Technology Leaps
Okay, so you’re smart and talented and loyal and have an incredible work ethic. You’ve got a great personality and actually like interacting with other humans. You could work anywhere, right?
Consider thePlatform. Why? It’s simple. If you’re like us, you want the same thing out of work life that we do—to work with a crowd of fun-loving, over-achieving geniuses developing cool, cutting-edge technology. Life’s too short to waste your talent on something mediocre, right?
We won’t do a comparison between where you’ve worked before and thePlatform – every place is unique. But here’s a little bit about why thePlatform is so great, in our humble opinion.
We’re a smart and passionate bunch: We live technology. We practice Agile methodology using scrum which combines rapid, test-driven development, collaboration, and a dearth of boredom. Projects change quickly and there’s always something new to learn or do. Our teammates are driven, high-performing, and creative. We can see the fruits of our labor every day. And we’re modest to boot.
We’re about the We, not Me: We don’t point fingers and scream if we find ourselves challenged. We support each other. Challenges actually make us band together and work harder. We’re proud of our work and take care of our customers; we won’t deploy anything we aren’t dang near 100% sure about. Our executive team is made up of smart business people and care about their company and its employees like we were family (which we are, in a way).
We’re stable: We have a great parent company and never have to worry about where our next pencil or paycheck is coming from. We have security now and in the future.
We’re fun: Sounds cliché, but it’s true. We take lunches. We bike to work. We go for runs in the afternoon. We work out. We have the requisite free soft drinks and Jelly Bellys. We start work at a decent time and leave at a reasonable hour. And we have well-planned and valuable company events which are all about cutting loose and celebrating successes.
Is this your Utopia? That’s for you to decide, but know this: once you walk through our front door, meet the people who work here, and learn more about what we do, you’ll get it.
So what, exactly, do we do?
We’re a behind the scenes software company, who help some of the biggest Cable, Pay TV Operators and Content owners throughout the world better manage and publish their broadband videos. Our products and services make content management more efficient, by streamlining and condensing workflows, and automating the end-to-end publishing process. We’re also helping our customers push the envelope and bring TV into a new dimension.

Our customers genuinely value what we do for them. After all, that’s why we’re here.

The company matches my contribution 100%! Up to 4.5% of my contribution.
I had to wait 90 days for it to kick in
I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at thePlatform in May 2015.
I had two phone interviews for this position - the first was with a very helpful recruiter and the second with the person who would be my direct manager. Unfortunately I didn't have the experience they were looking for because I was declined an in-person interview but I had an overall positive experience with the company and would apply again if they had another position that interested me.
