The 2022 Nike Internship Program wraps up in our U.S. offices this week —and the impact made by this year’s class is felt through all of NIKE, Inc. Over nine weeks, our talented group of over 300 interns have worked on meaningful projects across a variety of business areas. The cohort of undergraduate and graduate students from 113 universities around the country, including a combined 15 HBCUs and HSIs, brought a diverse range of skills and backgrounds—helping to accelerate innovation, serve athletes and create the future of sport. Through this experience, our interns are not only developing new skills, but building connections and growing themselves. To the Class of 2022: Congratulations and thank you for an amazing summer! Diversity and Inclusion
At Nike, we're taking action to continue to create a more inclusive world by championing accessibility and disability inclusion. Yesterday marked the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), an important step forward in raising public awareness for disability inclusion. We're releasing new adaptive workouts through the Nike Training Club (NTC) app, featuring Nike Adaptive Athlete Amy Bream. We developed these workouts in partnership with adaptive training expert Dr. Theresa Larson to provide lower-body adaptations for anyone—disabled or not. For adaptive athlete and Nike Sports Marketing Manager Sarah Reinertsen, the program is an important first step for the company in modeling disability inclusion, similar to how the ADA was an important first step.
