The US Open and Tiffany & Co. have signed a multi-year partnership renewal, ensuring that Tiffany & Co. will continue as the official trophy partner of the tournament.
As it has for the past 37 years, Tiffany & Co. will craft featured US Open trophies, including the keepsake trophies for the men’s and women’s singles champions. The keepsake trophies are equal-sized replicas crafted for each champion to take home as a personal, permanent commemoration of their victories.
For the first time ever, Tiffany & Co. will oversee on-site, immediate hand-engraving of both the men’s and women’s singles keepsake trophies. Each singles champion will now be able to leave the US Open with their engraved, keepsake trophy in hand.
In a world that is increasingly breaking free from the confines of traditional gender norms, Tiffany & Co.’s genderless jewelery collection emerges as a beacon of modern elegance. The global luxury jeweler’s first-ever all-inclusive collection, Tiffany Lock, was launched in January with an ethos of “No rules. All welcome”. At the heart of this expanded collection lies a reimagining of the all-important padlock – a defining symbol of the iconic New York house.
The motif emphasizes the unbreakable bonds of love and pays homage to the maison’s illustrious heritage. Since the late 1800s, the padlock has been an emblematic symbol used by Tiffany & Co. seeing its way onto pieces like brooches, necklaces, money clips, charms, and most notably the brand’s iconic key rings.
The padlock motif has continued to evolve and change in recent years, as evidenced in collections such as Return to Tiffany and Tiffany HardWear. The new Tiffany Lock collection symbolizes the personal bonds and connections that unite us to others, regardless of gender or background.
