It’s all about the dollars.

If you’ve managed a budget as a project manager, include some specific digits in your resume. Balancing a $1 million budget is impressive, but so is saving a company even hundreds of dollars because of something you caught in an expense line.

Communication is key

Did you implement any methods to help your team communicate better with one another, such as using programs like Slack, Basecamp, or Google docs to schedule meetings, respond to emails, IMs, and respond to other requests? Write it down. Hiring managers will appreciate seeing how you improved communication in your office.

Talk about failure.

Even the best-laid plans can run amiss—and as a project manager, it’s your job to set them right. Your resume is a good place to detail a project that ran off course and how you corrected it, which shows you’re always prepared with a contingency plan.
