I worked at "CPO Commerce, Inc" full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Fun environment to work in. Co-workers and staff are very knowledgable and have alot of expierience under their belt.

    Cons

From what I remember , alot of meetings. At the time of employment working 40+ hours a week is pretty much required in order to do a good job.

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at "CPO Commerce, Inc" full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

As with most companies, the people around you in the trenches are wonderful. You fight the daily challenges together and some good soldiers surrounding you.

As an Internet start-up, the entrepreneurial vibe is alive and well. Perhaps not as hip as a Santa Monica start-up or whatnot, but the "celebrating every little win" makes for good team unity.

    Cons

For an E-Com business, actual E-Com expertise at the top is lacking. More so, the CEO position is a revolving door (resigned, replaced, rehired, resigned again). "One foot in / One foot out" sets the tone that the company is unstable.

Also, current business model is dying and being threatened by Amazon. The playbook from 10 years ago is no longer viable.

    Advice to Management

Cash out and move on. Bring in a true E-Com guru, not a Tools guru, to take the wheel and steer in new directions.

I worked at "CPO Commerce, Inc" full-time

    Pros

    - Startup Culture
    - Cute Office
    - Young energetic colleagues

    Cons

    - People who came in the beginning and have nothing to offer have glued their behinds to their offices and add NO value to the work or the company, and drive fresh talent away with their debilitated outlook, sad ideas, and no formal education

    - High turnover in the past one year

     - Embarrassingly low pay. Honestly don't know how they have anybody working for them.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of people opposed to fresh ideas and changes, and for the love of god hire people with atleast a college degree?

I worked at "CPO Commerce, Inc" full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There are great people working to succeed in common goals. There is an excellent game room and loose work environment.

    Cons

Although I didn't experience any real prohibitive cons, I recall many unrealistic expectations regarding performance or vocalized expectations that seemed to be made as though to provide lip service to the organization.

    Pros

CPO has grown rapidly - it was recognized as the 2nd fastest growing retailer in the US in Inc. Magazine's Inc. 500 list in 2008 - which greats a dynamic work environment with lot of opportunities for professional development and promotion. The culture values the people who work there and there is enormous opportunity to contribute, grow and learn.

    Cons

It's hard work building a business and the more responsibility you have, the more you work, which makes finding a good work/life balance difficult.

    Advice to Management

The quality of the management team is a big factor in many employees' decision to work at CPO. Lunches with individual employees are great, and could be even more frequent.
