I have been working at 10 GYM full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Structure is key. If you’re capable of staying self aware, 10 Gym if a company who will appreciate your hard work and attention to detail. Weekly direct deposits, access to a healthy work environment, and working with go getter type employees make this company one to grow with.

    Cons

Long hours is hard for family life.

Upper management in corporate is terrible they got mad at me for not being at the front desk and then got mad at me for being at the front desk. This was the same guy. He also told me that they would not promote me due to me being in the Army Reserves.

I worked at 10 GYM part-time for less than a year

    Pros

All of my coworkers were great and the work is fun.

    Cons

Pay is definitely pretty low and you have to write a formal request to upper management if you want a raise. Not much opportunity by way of advancement into gym management.

I have been working at 10 GYM part-time for more than a year

    Pros

You get a free membership and have a very flexible schedule. It’s a laid back job and you get to meet a lot of cool people.

    Cons

Can be stressful when not enough people are scheduled to work because gyms do get very busy. Definitely need to stay on your toes.

I worked at 10 GYM full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Decent pay with the benefit of meeting great people & a free membership.

    Cons

Healthcare benefits are terrible. No 401K, no commission, if you're in management you work 6+ hours overtime and do not get compensated for overtime hours. Very long hours! Extreme degrading goes on behind the desk by upper management to employees, if you bring it to the owner's attention there will be retaliation to the point you quit. There is no recognition for hard work and positive reinforcement does not exist in upper management. You have to walk on eggshells. There is a major pay gap problem with employees who have the same title and duties as the other employee. There is no consistency, you will be told to do one thing by upper management and get reprimanded by another manager/supervisor by doing what you were told to do by upper management. If you are in management, calling in and requesting off is frowned upon no matter how urgent the situation- funerals, death in the family, surgeries, maternity leave, etc. If you take off for those reasons, you are expected to be back to work ASAP (the following day) and you are forced to make up those days or you will not be paid.
