    Pros

Over the past 20 years, I've worked with 4 different service providers at Microsoft. By far, 110 is the best. I've had excellent ongoing communication with management and I trust them. I don't worry about my contract much, because I believe 110 would be successful in placing me another engagement when my current one ends. The benefit package is very good. They provide funds for employee training annually. And, they've been great about upgrading my hardware as needed. Company is merging with TA Group, a larger company with a larger rolodex, I'm excited about the additional possibilities of other engagements and partnerships.

    Cons

I have no cons about 110. I highly recommend the company.

    Advice to Management

Thank you. And, keep up the great work. I'm super excited about the upcoming year. and to see how we can continue moving the company forward with the merger.

    Pros

Flexible work hours, can work from home or clients office. Salary is competitive. Would recommend to consultants starting their career.

    Cons

Managers would rather worry about customers then employees. Salary depends on what they can bill you out for. No bonuses

    Advice to Management

    Back up your employee

I have been working at 110 Consulting, Inc. full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You get to work with intelligent, collaborative, motivated people every day.
Excellent work/life balance even while working on contracts for companies that may not have that available to their own FTEs.
Ability to grow your skill set and add new areas of expertise through training resources and internal support structure - there is a lot of cross training available if you want to take advantage of it.
Covered parking garage paid for by company
No micro managing (may depend on the team but I haven't seen this in my group). People respect your skills and what you bring to the table. You are able to contribute and feel like you made a difference to the outcome of a project. Very collaborative (again, may depend on which team/project you're on).

    Cons

Most contracts are with Microsoft and Microsoft can be both bi-polar and schizophrenic about how they want to deal with contracts and projects. 110 is trying to keep up with the changes but it's not always easy.
Benefits could be a little better but that's true in most places (no 401k match for instance)

    Advice to Management

Keep looking for new clients outside of Microsoft to provide more breadth of opportunities to your employees.
    Consider improving benefits and PTO.
Encourage more collaboration/social interaction between teams so different employees get to know one another and who has what skills sets (handy when it comes time to hire for a position and someone may be rolling off a project). Right now we are all entrenched in our own projects and unaware of the work done by other teams and resources at 110.

I have been working at 110 Consulting, Inc. (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I've worked for a number of consulting companies and 110 is definitely the best- great management and culture

    Cons

Like many consulting companies 110 does not offer paid time off to some employees/consultants

    Advice to Management

Give everyone the option of paid time off, even if it means a lower hourly rate, and allow them to choose

I worked at 110 Consulting, Inc. full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

If you like working on the East side as a staff aug role for Microsoft, 110 is a fantastic company. The owners are great folks as well, and although they're in a very cutthroat market (IT talent brokering in the Seattle area), they are always trying to make 110 a good place to work.

Compensation is above normal for the area.
    Health insurance is family-friendly.
401K available as well, with a %age matching. Holidays and time PTO as well.

    Cons

Very small client base, specific groups at Microsoft make up almost all of their clients. Their bread and butter is short-term BI projects. More project managers than technical staff, so projects (when they're gotten) all feel understaffed, or poorly staffed (a BA with an Excel background doing SQL BI work, for example)

No real "consulting" background in the lot of any of the owners, nor any management. They are better staffers than consultants.

    Advice to Management

Consider making partnerships with specific technologies and developing practices in those technologies. Everyone in a 100 mile radius of your corp headquarters is a "Microsoft Partner", so there's no value there. Find a boutique technology, partner with them, and create a practice out of it.

    Pros

They take care of you, if you lose your contract for some reason, they will help you to get another contract.
They constantly have morale events which makes you feel you're part or the company.

    Cons

Not a super large company but this could also be a positive aspect.
