I worked at 16 Handles full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Fun work environment, great coworkers, possibility to grow if you work hard

    Cons

Can’t add cons. Job really depends on your personal participation. Work hard and good things usually followed.

  2. "A nice community, but messy management. Probably varies on location."

I worked at 16 Handles full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They have a wonderfully written handbook (teaches you professionalism, how to clean machines, conduct, etc.), uniforms, tips, and flexible scheduling. Great opportunity for moving up in the company, generally positive attitude from management.

    Cons

The company was lenient about tardiness. Not the worst thing, but people would call out an hour before and nothing would be done. Also, I was not properly trained for the assistant manager position. I had to learn everything from the handbook and only found out the last month of employment that there was a manager handbook (which I had never seen). It was stressful trying to manage a store that felt like I had no support and despite the fact that multiple people do inventory, I was apparently the one who always got it wrong and the one who got blamed for it. Also, when I did ask for feedback and help to improve, there was basically no response. I quit mainly because of this and communication issues. Long hours.

    Advice to Management

Make proper guidelines. Revise your manuals and checklists as needed. Hold meetings with coworkers and managers regularly! Stick to sanitation guidelines. Don't cut corners. And don't randomly introduce change.

I worked at 16 Handles part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Free yogurt if under $5
the other employees are very nice
    It’s a job I guess

    Cons

The management/owner of this place have no training and stand around while the other employees do all the hard work, they consistently complain the place is left dirty, the male owner is very creepy and asks weird person questions along with talking about his personal life (relationships, arguments, trying to test employees dna) this place is a mess and it’s mostly due to poor management

    Advice to Management

Maybe go to school and learn how to manage a business properly, don’t open any more 16 handles by yourself.

    Pros

The store is kept very clean thanks to the team members, employees get a discount on yogurt and they always have a good selection of toppings/flavors.

    Cons

Terrible general manager who made working there miserable!

    Advice to Management

Hire a GM that actually cares about their employees instead of gossiping about them all the time!
