I worked at 21st Century full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I enjoyed the tasks as well as my co-workers. I was happiest upon first hire when supporting DOS applications and paper apps to be mailed in. I was there through the transition to application upload through local software then online based applications toward the end. I had a great team of co-workers as well as sitting on different boards and teams from other departments.

    Cons

There were a few managers or product managers who would not listen to agent input or technical issues that needed to be addressed by developers. The QA team was a great help during that time but in some cases the PM would say release the software even if incorrect and fix it later.

    Advice to Management

This review is for 21st as it was in Alpharetta, GA prior to the merger with Farmers and move to Delaware. I do not know if the culture has changed but if not then I would suggest listening to input from the end users when making changes to the rating/application software.

    Pros

You get a decent bonus, def not what is used to be

    Cons

CSG calls..are horrible sales leads.. although i do decent with them.

    Advice to Management

Get back into the swing of things, promote FARMERS instead of CSG calls. There is 0 opportunity for career advancement.

I have been working at 21st Century full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very easy job taking phone calls for customers all day

    Cons

    no kind of commission opportunity

    Advice to Management

Before Farmer's came in and bought 21st, it was a dream job. The department I used to work at has been dissolved for 4 years now and I still think about the great pay, people and benefits. It was a good place. Too bad Farmer's had to come in and change the landscape. :-(

I worked at 21st Century full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay was based on experience and education level which was fair. Overtime was available if you wanted it. Co workers were awesome and customers were usually pleasant.

    Cons

Management either has no experience or so much seniority that they think they do whatever they want. Rules are arbitrary and don't apply to everyone. The schedules as they are now are terrible and were changed partly to avoid paying a shift differential. Good people come and go and the horrible ones stay. Very difficult to get time off in a call center environment.

    Advice to Management

Supervisors should be chosen more carefully and should be able to demonstrate the duties assigned not just talk a good game.

I have been working at 21st Century full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great co-workers, lots of overtime available, uncapped commission structure, good benefits and easy to schedule vacation.

    Cons

No advancement opportunities, They cut back on cost by going as far as taking away our free coffee lol.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what your doing and always listen to what your employees have to say. We can all make this company a better one.
