    Pros

Great team, lots of fun to work for.

    Cons

Hard to get clients. Sales job doesn't do a good job selling training. Managers dont really help the trainers get more clients.

I worked at 24 Hour Fitness part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They actually take into consideration the time it takes GX instructors to prep for the classes-not just the time in the gym.

    Cons

Management is not local. They have different regions, which made it very hard to communicate. I consider myself an excellent communicator as I am in the Customer Service industry. I reached out several times about different issues, and I was not responded to quickly. I feel like the managers are kind and want to do what's best, but may have too much on their plate. The equipment we did use was adequate and clean. Members felt like they should have more available classes at different times, but it was hard to get management to open another time slot. They also do not employee subs, so if I had to take a day off it was very hard to get a sub. Classes would get canceled.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your members more. More classes, better times.

I worked at 24 Hour Fitness full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Open 24 Hours, Convenient Location, Good Benefits... I can't think of anything else to write on this section that's a Pro. I just didn't have a good enough experience with this company that I could remember.

    Cons

Poor management! They hire people who have no qualifications to be a team lead/manager & they abuse their authority. I had a coworker who the management absolutely hate for no apparent reason. They would write him up for things that didn't happen and tried to make a case against him so that they can get rid of him without giving him unemployment.

    Advice to Management

Hire better people to manage the clubs and employees.

I worked at 24 Hour Fitness part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You have some control over the hours you work but you need to have good availability to accommodate clients.
If you enjoy the gym you get to work at a place you enjoy being at.
Free membership to any level 24 hour is a nice perk.
They have very good onboard training for Personal Trainers.

    Cons

If you're at the wrong location the demographic can be poor for selling training packages. I did all my on-boarding at a location that I liked and was more convenient for me cause it was close to my other job and gave me more availability but when I was done they made me switch to the Irving location where I didn't know anyone, had no connections, and the potential clientele was much worse than at the other. They should not have made me onboard at one location and then switch to another after spending all that time getting to know my coworkers, liking who I worked with, forming connections with potential clients, etc... the whole thing was just a mess. The people I on-boarded with were great and did a good job, I learned a lot from them that I didn't know.
