    I worked at 2H Offshore full-time

    Pros

Good company culture, some flexibility in working hours, good experience in specialist field. Open plan concept encourages team atmosphere (if you like that layout).

    Cons

Can be overly demanding at times with tight deadlines, not unusual to work late into the night after someone waits until the last minute to get something done. Management is young and entrenched leaving little room at the top.

    Advice to Management

Offer more development for growing personnel, provide more opportunity for engineers to be involved in business development, don't rely solely on a few mid-level managers to run all the projects.

I worked at 2H Offshore full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

5 weeks vacation and European style health insurance, free beer at the pub on Fridays, quarterly team building, younger office

    Cons

Poor management planning and direction, expensive niche contracting company, terrible project management, no career development, if you're not part of the clique you will not advance, brutal work schedule often with last minute work requirements, management doesn't have experience outside of the company

    Advice to Management

Work towards more traditional office culture, career development with advancement potential for engineers, better planning for current industrial trends

I worked at 2H Offshore (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Five weeks vacation health insurance paid for

    Cons

Poor time management of senior engineer resulting short notice "all nighters" to finish reports. Very arrogant company with thin skin regarding its image as a great place to work.

    Advice to Management

Stop posting fake reviews of your company. Your not as good as you guys think you are.

    Pros

    Positive atmosphere. Flexible hours.

    Cons

Too much emphasis on drinking at the pub every Friday afternoon. As a result, the office is pretty much empty while employees drink at the company's expense.

    Advice to Management

Save the money on drinking, and put that towards your employees.

I have been working at 2H Offshore full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I can blend in to the background fairly easily as long as I'm sociable with people. Gives me time to look for a place I can actually grow my career next.

    Cons

The company management seems to be in place because of how long they've worked there, not because of any solid leadership or people management skills. They tout a 'culture' that they love so much, but it's basically an excuse for them to side step any hard decisions that might improve morale. Social status also seems to weigh heavily in 'performance' reviews.

    Advice to Management

Actual peer-to-peerr reviews for your employees, because we see things you don't, or won't.

I have been working at 2H Offshore full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good benefits; incomparable annual leave for a company in the U.S.; the VPs are easy to talk to; focus on the future shows sustained growth and expansion; interesting projects; future endeavors are leading to continued room for personal growth; opportunities for travel to various locations, both short-term and long-term; employees feel like individuals and significant contributors to the company's future

    Cons

some projects have very short delivery schedules which can lead to long hours

    Advice to Management

Presently I think the company is headed in the right direction and management is on the right path.

I have been working at 2H Offshore full-time

    Pros

Good benefits, interesting work, mostly paid for overtime, non management people are great.

    Cons

Management ignores and laughs off employee complaints. Also, the "open office" concept is used as an excuse to pack in as many engineers as possible into one floor of a building.

    Advice to Management

Actually address employee concerns. Move somewhere with more space.
