    Pros

The best part of 3 Day Blinds is not being stuck behind a desk all day. You are out in the field and every appointment is different which makes your day fly by. You feel like you are running your own business and have the opportunity and tools to really make it grow ! There is also so much support within the company. 3 Day Blinds offers several different ways to reach out for support with questions and designs such as DC phone help line and online chat. Also your team is one of your biggest supporters. Every area has its team and with the San Diego team we all support each other with anything and everything. Everyone is always willing to share knowledge and help with random questions.

    Cons

A con to 3 day blinds would be designing a complicated application. Some designs are by the book but some are a little bit more difficult. These challenges can make any employee nervous because of course you want the order to be perfect. On the more difficult jobs this is where the support really comes in handy. The support team gives you several options for reaching out that can help you complete the order correctly and successfully .

    Generally a good experience

    Pros

My manager is great and I really feel he cares about our team as people.

    Cons

The company does provide sales leads but there is also a big push for you to generate your own customers. This isn't necessarily a con but rather something you should just be aware of going in.

Great company but prepare to get picked on.

    Pros

Upper management is great, encouraging, and will do anything to help you succeed. Working there from Oct to December is a treat becasue of parties and potlucks and random catering throughout the year. Mostly friendly co workers.

    Cons

Middle management, such as leads, are terrible, plays favorites, will pick on the grunts, and leave you out. They admitted themselves they will pick on you and have a person they favorite and a most disliked. And if you arent a favorite, there will be no growth. There is also no camaraderie if you arent a favorite either, saying good morning to them will render them to purposefully ignore you. Tedious and like I said. If you arent a favorite you wont grow and be stuck in the same position forever.

    Worst job I’ve ever had!

    Pros

Paid training, they provided free coffee.

    Cons

Be prepared to drive all day, put tons of miles and wear and tear on your car. Despite what they want you to think, this is a straight commission only job. Be prepared to work way more than what they lead you to believe. Upper and mid level management have a tendency to micromanage. Product is not the same quality as the competitors and higher priced...this makes closing the sale difficult. The blinds are not installed in three days, be prepared for low-quality appointments that are hard to close considering an overpriced, subpar product. Also, they will flaunt what their highest producers make, realize that this is few and far between. My experience with this company was probably the worst I’ve ever had, including my first job at Burger King when I was 16.

    DON'T BELIEVE THE GOOD REVIEWS

    Pros

only perk is working at home

    Cons

pay is subpar due to a ridiculous commission structure. you spend more money on gas than you do on actually making commission on appointments that get you no where. the company constantly increases price throughout the year making your job harder to sell. upper management fills their pockets and goes on fancy trips while sales people run ragged trying to get all their work done. you WILL work on your days off, it is expected of you! if someone has shopped your price, your sale is as good as gone no matter how much time and patience you spend with a customer. free consultations are ridiculous being that you could run 3 appointments with distances of over 20 miles from one appointment to the next and not sell anything...oh, but you get a lousy .54 per mile for your troubles....as an outside salesperson you are not given the same employee rights as a salaried or hourly employee either, no vacation pay, and you are forced to take 3+ appointments per day...my best advise is look elsewhere...you can make $40k with a lighter work load

    Pros

There is a lot of support from corporate.

    Cons

Under-compensation for personal vehicle used for business purposes. Does not adhere to the federal mileage compensation. The company still uses the rate from 2019. I average over 100 miles per week which means more maintenance repairs and gas expenses.

    Endless Potential

Nov 6, 2018 - Design Consultant in Los Angeles, CA

    Pros

3 Day Blinds provides all of your marketing material, samples to show your clients, and extensive, continual product/selling training (they even pay you while you're in training!) As a design consultant, the pay is unmatched to any sales job: It's a commission and bonus structure, so there is endless potential to make money, which is up to you (I have made more money every year & have been with the company for 7 years). They provide all of your leads and even reward you for bringing in your own leads. They provide full benefits & despite being a large corporate company, they make sure your voice is heard; constantly evolving to the benefit of everyone. Your schedule is flexible & you're not at a desk or in an office, so you basically get to run your own business, but backed by a great company.

    Cons

It is certainly not a job for everyone and can be stressful at times. You have to be able to adapt quickly, manage time well & work with all types of people, as you are in people's homes all day. Although the commission/bonus pay structure is a plus, the pay is not always the same every month, so you have to be able to manage your business wisely and put in the work.
