I worked at 312 Marketing full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

-Opportunity to be promoted into opening your own company in a short time frame if you can make the sales.
    -Commission-based, so no ceiling.
-Management is structured so that your success is their success.

    Cons

-Longer than usual hours plus Saturdays.
-Training hours are long with no pay if you decide sales is not for you.

    Advice to Management

It may not be feasible, but recruiting directly from competitive college campuses may increase the overall quality of the applicant pool.

    Pros

It improves your oral and interpersonal skills.

    Cons

It definitely looks like a scheme. They want your free labor and you cannot even break even with the money you get from an enrty-level position.

I worked at 312 Marketing full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Office culture is very up-beat and motivating. They were very straightforward about the job. They place a large importance on learning and only promote from within. If you are willing to put in the hours and the time you can make a lot of money.

    Cons

6 day work week. Door to door sales. 10+ hour days, half spent in the office "learning." No benefits. 100% commission based. It is a tough job and you are out there on the streets in the super hot weather and the rain.

I have been working at 312 Marketing full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I joined this company because in the first interview, the president told me there was opportunity to grow and it was merit based. That is the biggest pro for me. I moved up quickly because I am competitive and work. I also get to have some fun whiled I do it.

    Cons

I was not naturally good off the bat.

    Advice to Management

Keep the 1-1 coaching up with the new people, it helped a lot.

I have been working at 312 Marketing full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Tight knit circle of employees, close contact with motivated, assertive company president, possibility for upward movement allowing you to possibly own your own sales office some day.

    Cons

100% commission resulted in occasional $100 pay weeks, 6 day work week 56 hours p/wk, half of the day spent in office (free labor), no room for a social life outside the office

    Advice to Management

    More time outside the office

I worked at 312 Marketing full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They drill you with tons of information, build a lot of office spirit, keep everyone excited but a little in the dark of the actual nature of the work until you're actually doing it, which is basically selling door-to-door.

    Cons

No base pay, benefits or real commissions. You work insane amount of hours (9-11 hrs) for hardly any money. Not worth the trouble.

    Advice to Management

    Give base pay and benefits
