I worked at 3PL Worldwide full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible environment - no one on your back as long as you do your job.

    Cons

Very Cheap company. Skimpy benefits program. Raises to the professional staff are hard to come by. Layoffs are accompanied with no severance pay at all. Penny wise but pound foolish management.

    Advice to Management

Pay your professional staff well and keep talented employees at any expense. There is a reason why the WWE and many other paying clients dropped out - lack of professional quality service. Hope you finally get it.....

I worked at 3PL Worldwide full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Flexibility of hours, casual dress code

    Cons

Crackling computers, shared headsets, no supplies offered, no training. Supervisors that don't want to be bothered with questions.

    Advice to Management

Treat your workers better. Get everyone their own headset. Fix your crappy computers. Provide coffee for your workers.

    Pros

There are not many pro's to consider. The only pro would be meeting some good coworkers who became a friend.

    Cons

For a family run business they are not a family oriented company at all. No positive work/life balance. Overworked and severely underpaid. Expectations are not realistic. They agree to take on business when they aren't ready to handle it. They are too quick to throw you under the bus and make you look bad just to cover their bottom. No consideration for personal needs. Benefits and salary are awful as is time off. Getting approval for time off is a struggle.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and value their opinion and concerns. Don't roll your eyes or huff when employees have questions. Show some positive reinforcement, incentivize, team together instead of against. Try being a positive roll model. Train and teach instead of throwing your employees right in and judging their ability when they don't succeed overnight.

I worked at 3PL Worldwide as a contractor

    Pros

None. Well maybe one, they hire anyone.

    Cons

Management sucks, they don't really want to work. Push their work off on others. Dirty, dingy, oh did I say ghetto? Long hours without pay, treated without acknowledgement. The job is a joke. They will let you go even after working there for years without a care in the world. They want slaves. Sweatshop atmosphere.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of management in data entry and the warehouse associated with that section of 3PL.

I worked at 3PL Worldwide full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are no best reasons to work for this company. Their salary and benefits are pathetic

    Cons

There are all downsides to working for this company if you want to work for a company that builds moral. This company does not.

    Advice to Management

Be more attentive to your employees needs. Listen when they have concerns and investigate all issues no matter how "small" they may be in your eyes. Be fair with the employees instead of taking the managers side of the story.

  8. "By far the worst place I have ever been employed.."

    Pros

The only "pro" of working for this company is that management is easy-going when you request to have time off from work.

    Cons

The supervisors are extremely rude at times and this does impact the way the workplace is run because their job is to answer questions and assist the employees and at times, they become stubborn and frustrated when asked for assistance. Upper management does indeed choose favorites (such as people they "hang" out with outside of work) which in highly unprofessional. Often, the representatives would be reprimanded for giving false information to customers, though this is a result to management not spreading information efficiently.

    Advice to Management

Give every representative the same information and improve the workplace environment. Also, do not pick favorites within the workplace, as this is highly unprofessional. and does not go unnoticed by other employees.

    Pros

Great Work Family Balance, Opportunities to Grow in Industry Knowledge, Great Range of Autonomy in Your Position

    Cons

Layoffs are Frequent and Sometimes With Short Notice, You Are NOT Competitively or Fairly Compensated: A Supervisor with 2 Years Experience and no College Degree earned $21/hr -vs- A College Graduate with 5 Years Sales & Service Experience Was Offered an Increase from $12/hr to $14/hr

    Advice to Management

The overall culture of the organization is great, but think long term when it comes to compensating qualified, credentialed, and successful candidates; it may be well worth the investment given the candidates track record and documented performance.
