    I worked at 7-Eleven full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The best reason to work at seven eleven is free drinks!!

    Cons

It's fast paced which isn't too big of a deal but you don't get breaks like your supposed to by law and a lunch is unheard of!!

    Advice to Management

Give your employees mandatory breaks and compensate for ones that don't take them regularly, or at all.

I have been working at 7-Eleven full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Full time and 1st shift.

    Cons

No room for advancement, pay raise only when they feel like it, paid too little for experience.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees better and they will put more into your business. Treat them like more than slaves.

I have been working at 7-Eleven part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

-The experience of ordering products and meeting with vendors
-Free coffee/tea/soda/hot chocolate (depending on where you work honestly)

    Cons

You are much better off working at a corporate store rather than a franchise. There was no opportunities of growth within the company. A lot of hard work to put in (not including the mental strain when dealing with customers) for minimum wage and no raises/bonuses/insurance. If you need money fast then by all means work at 7-eleven. But if you know your worth, than wait to find a better job, because this one sucks the soul out of you.

    Advice to Management

Pay employees what they are worth. Bilingual? Always on time? Never calls out? Picks up shifts when others call out? Has plenty of customer service experience? Those are ones who should be acknowledged. Another issue to fix would be advancing within (if anyone deserves it) instead of hiring outsiders who are new to the company. A raise here and there would be great too.

    I worked at 7-Eleven full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

If you enjoy an environment of nepotism and a culture that promotes only those that espouse to the sexual orientation of the top management then this is a place for you. San Antonio is a great place for a close-knit community that takes care of their own. If you are easily offended and don't appreciate the overt nature of this anti traditional, self-serving and close-knit community then I would suggest that you look at other opportunities.

    Cons

There is absolutely zero chance of advancement unless you submit or join all the reindeer games that the upper management organizes. Franchisees beware the aforementioned pertains to mostly corporate employees, a corporation wants your business as you will have to put up absorbitant fees to franchisees locations. After your non-refundable donation you will realize that you are beholden to a system that will not realize your investment for many many many years to come. They are not honest with the preliminary numbers that are given to you. Please do your homework, out of dozens of stores available in this area there are only a handful that can actually produce a profit that is worth spending twenty-four hours a day and 365 days a year to make it worth it. If you are a part of the corporate world get ready to get in line and take your position under the desk.

    Advice to Management

Life is more than just a dog and pony show. Karma always has a way of making its rounds which unless you stand up for what is right then you will soon realize. I have met with and have spent time with the CEO of this company, and I believe that if he really knew what was taking place in this Market that he would make some serious changes.

    Cons

    Advice to Management

I've been with the company for 6 months and the upper management has been great so far. Always communicating and checking in with me on my progress.
