    Pros

Lots of company perks, lunches, parties, gatherings

    Cons

Very competitive market, was challenging for a sales rep

    Advice to Management

Drop the fees that are added to the quotes that are purely for the company

    I have been working at 8x8 full-time

    Pros

Growing business with tons of potential opportunities. Very fun and exciting atmosphere. Great people throughout the company. Really knowledgeable staff and management willing to help you grow and express yourself in the process. Free snacks and Wednesday lunches are a nice touch. Welcoming atmosphere.

    Cons

HR support is lacking, many of them have individual topics they cover, but lack in a lot of resources, help and information that a company of this caliber needs. Communication department to department and management to staff can sometimes feel like you are finding out about something two weeks too late. Some staff act on emotion more than they should in a business setting.

    Advice to Management

Internal training and HR promotion should be company wide and needs to be expanded. Many people feel voiceless with some of the potential releases when they have tips / tricks / advice. HR really needs to be given training courses and be more involved and knowledgeable when handling certain situations and for preventative issues in the future - this is the companies biggest set back with their growth.

I have been working at 8x8 full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    + Great core product
    + Good cohesion across departments
    + Welcoming culture
    + Fairly transparent management
    + Decent Benefits

    Cons

    - Low pay for the bay area
    - Hit and miss support from HR and Upper management
    - Bumpy product launches with lack of engagement from all stakeholders
    - Disconnect between marketing/sales

    Advice to Management

There has been some improvement towards product launches and marketing/sales disconnect lately, they need to keep moving on that path. In order to keep better talent pay needs to be increased as well.

I have been working at 8x8 full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Company growth.
    Good products.
    Good leadership in Operations/Engineering.

    Cons

To reactive instead of proactive. (Still learning as a company)
Sales teams promise more than can be delivered way to often.

    Advice to Management

If integrity is a core value of our company, it needs to flow through all levels of management. Managers with direct reports need to be accessed as thoroughly as customer facing agents.

I worked at 8x8 as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

As an intern I learned a lot from my work. There are some admirable employees in QA. Most of the people are good to work with.

    Cons

A lot of wokr, unfair treatment between different employees, dark and old office that needs to be revamped.

    I worked at 8x8 full-time

    Pros

free food on Wednesdays and breakfast on Fridays..

    Cons

They fired one good product manager in virtual contact center just because he was not getting along with his "NEW" manager. This guy worked with every one in the team on day to day basis. He was actively involved in all releases, technically very strong. But still 8x8 fired him without taking feedback from other team members who actually worked with him very closely. One lady gave bad review , replaced him with someone from Brazil and that's it. Good job 8x8 you just lost one nice virtual contact center member and our competitors will happily hire him.
    Low salary.
    Benefits sucks big time.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your good people.Give them good salary.

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

    Great salary and incentives
Team players between teams. If you need help someone will be there
Great opportunity to work as a team and come up with out of the box ideas
    Great CEO
    Great leads from SDR teams

    Cons

    Bad sales management.
    Growing pains
CEO has a vision that is great but he is putting the game in others hands and doesn't seem to see all the great people he is losing either voluntarily or by dog eats dog. A lot are going to their competition.

    Advice to Management

Vik take a step back to when you took over and although you knew the changes would occur as you try to compete upmarket you're losing some talented employees because of some management choices that you have made. When your teams tenure is under 6 months something's going on. Sales, marketing etc...... can't keep a swinging door and build a strong relationship company. Remember your customers come to 8x8 because of how they have been treated and they knew who to call. As I've job searched that's biggest complaint of other companies they are losing market share for not giving enough attention and moving customer contacts so much as they have tried to grow.
