I worked at 99 Cents Only full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Weekly pay periods and minimal amounts of paperwork are about it honestly. Most of the associates are great people. Variety of merchandise for a deep discount retail store is impressive. Good pay for store manager position.

    Cons

Very dated system. Distribution and product allocation is aweful. Standards for associates are not company wide. If you work in this state you get this and that , but in that state you only get this. I for one am glad to have moved on from here. There were over two dozen managers recruited from other companies starting at the same time I was employed here. Of those hires at last count only 3 are still with this company. Turn over is outrageous here. Read all of the fine print at hire date. I could write a novel on the cons.

    Advice to Management

I would advise a tip or two, but they do not read these reviews. They do not care about their reputation. They count on volumes of people that are looking for work as opposed to hiring and retaining their best associates.
