    Pros

    None just a horrible company.

    Cons

Dirty stores no higher up support.

    Advice to Management

There's no upper leadership all the way down to the district manager's and your peer's that's store managers they all cut throat no support from HR. They need to get rid of all the ones that's been there 5 year's are more if you want a functional life do not go there you have been warned.

I worked at 99 Cents Only full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Freedom to merchandise and get creative. Great team in store. Good support from DM.

    Cons

Hectic delivery schedule. You will be out on the floor stocking or in the backroom breaking pallets down if you can't stay ahead of the wave freight you will get. And it is a constant flow. Alot of their technology is grossly out of date. You may run into favoritism if you don't play politics well and let your results speak for themselves.

    Advice to Management

You have a tiger by the tail, invest in yourself and your people.

I have been working at 99 Cents Only full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Company promotes quickly. Offers benefits and 401k.

    Cons

Amount of work/responsibility is not worth the pay. Company does not care about it's employees. Long hours and way too stressful for what they pay you.. ASMs work 11-12 hour shifts, 5-6 days a week. Store managers don't discipline employees, and HR does not fire employees who screw up repeatedly. Management is transferred frequently, without any notice, whether they agree to the transfer or not. Upper management is... a joke.

    Advice to Management

Discipline and weed out your bad performers & drama starters and stop letting your employees run you over. Lack of policy enforcement makes for bad morale, unhappy employees, and it's nearly impossible for other management staff to run the store when the employees think they can do whatever they want.
