I have been working at Aéropostale full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Friendly, easy-going environment, people don't take themselves too seriously & open to collaboration.

    Cons

Too lax at times, weak cross-functional communication, vast array of experience & knowledge up and down the job titles and rankings.

    Advice to Management

Not enough structure - managers and higher ups

I have been working at Aéropostale part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Having great co-workers and mangers is a stress reliever. Working with all sorts of people is something I enjoy doing and helping them as fast as I can. Spanish wasn't my first language but working at Aeropostale was an opportunity to practice my speaking skills in my second language.

    Cons

During the holidays, it seems like everyone is doing their own thing. Organization is out of the picture, which was extremely frustrating. Causing customers to destroy the story and workers start acting up.

    Advice to Management

Maybe a daily reminder to the employees what should be done and if they mess up, to them right there and then .

I worked at Aéropostale part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pros are definitely the people you meet at work.

    Cons

Just as in any retail job, the mundane activity of folding clothes, helping shoppers that don't want to be helped, and long closing hours. Luckily brick and mortar stores have been on a decline recently so you don't get as much foot traffic.

    Pros

great job opportunity to go back and forth during school break if you do not go to school in the city.

    Cons

Workers with the same nationality tend to stick together, they push sales really hard because the company was going out of business

    Advice to Management

Their HR should have a better attitude towards their employees

I worked at Aéropostale full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The hours are flexible. You can work as little/much as you want. During weekdays, there is not much work to do and it gets very boring.

    Cons

During holidays and sales, the hours are extremely long and the work is exhausting. The customers tend to blame you for everything.

    Advice to Management

Give more opportunity to grow to your sales associate. Increase their wages every once in a while so that the employee turnover is lower.

    I worked at Aéropostale part-time

    Pros

    Great Discount and awesome coworkers

    Cons

On call shifts - can't leave town, but not guaranteed hours either. counts as unplanned if you don't call

    Advice to Management

Your employees might be high school kids, but treating them as an employee and not a number is just as important as any other company

Great management for a large corporation, fun staff, a great job all around!

    Cons

The pay isn't amazing, but where is it?

    Advice to Management

Pay the managers more. They work so hard for not that much.
