    Pros

    Great flexibility

    Room to grow
Excellent opportunities for advancement in pay and monthly bonuses are nice. It also depends on the team you're with.

    Cons

Pay is a bit on the low side when starting out but overall, there aren't really any cons depending on the store you work for.

    Pros

Friendly, easy-going environment, people don't take themselves too seriously & open to collaboration.

    Cons

Too lax at times, weak cross-functional communication, vast array of experience & knowledge up and down the job titles and rankings.

    Advice to Management

Not enough structure - managers and higher ups

I worked at Aéropostale full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The hours are flexible. You can work as little/much as you want. During weekdays, there is not much work to do and it gets very boring.

    Cons

During holidays and sales, the hours are extremely long and the work is exhausting. The customers tend to blame you for everything.

    Advice to Management

Give more opportunity to grow to your sales associate. Increase their wages every once in a while so that the employee turnover is lower.

I have been working at Aéropostale part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The environment is very inviting with up-to-date music and great managers. They make sure that you are ready and fully trained for your job, especially if you're new to retail!

    Cons

The pay is minimum wage. The hours during winter season are pretty bad as well. My last check was around $25. Great starter job for extra money.

    Advice to Management

My managers are very experienced and know how to make work fun. A good manager makes a great work space and environment. Joke around a bit with your employees and make sure seasonal new hires know exactly whats going on the day that they take the sales floor.

    Pros

Fun environment that allows you to work closely with customers. It's a pretty stress-free job. Lots of vacation time.

    Cons

As a manager you don't get paid nearly enough to support yourself especially in comparison to your employees who'should wageso are constantly increasing due to the rise in minimum wage.

    Advice to Management

If you're looking for an easy position that doesn't challenge you too much, then this is a great job for you.

I worked at Aéropostale part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There was a good work environment with friendly coworkers and nice location. The managers were all very helpful and made sure everyone felt comfortable working at Aero.

    Cons

The work can sometimes feel tedious and repetitive and can also get tiring because there's a lot of interaction with people for long periods of time, but if you like that, then I'd definitely recommend working in retail.

    Advice to Management

It's unfortunate that Aeropostale had to file for bankruptcy because I thought that the company was very good to its employees and to its customers.
