-Ability to request time off is easy

    Cons

    Pros

everything is good about this job. Great discount. Great morale. High standards. The people who work here care about the company and how the company is perceived by the customers.

    Cons

Can't be promoted unless 21 no matter what.
We stay hella late to clean the store, but its all just to make sure the store is clean and presentable for the customers.

    Advice to Management

take a look at your employees and see who would be a good manager, not who is able to drink.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

The managers are nice and closing is also fun. You learn a lot of values that you can carry on to your future job.

    Cons

The rude customers are so annoying. As well as working during the holiday seasons. The store is crowded and customers are 10x more rude.

Pay starting out can be meager.

    Advice to Management

Offer some type of benefits to those that are part time but have a long tenure with the company.

    Pros

good feedback, oportunity to grow, hands on experience, detail in floorsets, backroom organization, all management included in daily actitivties, great teamwork

    Cons

The downsides are the clothes themselves, it was hard to represent a brand i was not in to. Also, the closing nights were horrible in reaching a good time to leave the store in to standard.

    Advice to Management

To leadership, less clothes on teh floor or a better closing proceudre will help management be productive for they wont be over worked or tired.

I have been working at Aéropostale full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Working at Aeropostale gives me a chance to giver away fashion tips to other people. And then when they come back they say,"hey theres that lady who gave AWSOME fashion tips to me lets go ask her for some more." Thats what makes Aeropostale fun.

    Cons

The down side about working at Aeropostale is when you go home your exhausted by all of the costumers. And you have to come in really early and leave really late. Those are all of the down sides about working at Aeropostale.

    Advice to Management

When you have little employes it means little to pay. But when have lots of employes it takes alot to pay them.

I have been working at Aéropostale part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The upper management (District managers, Regional managers) are very fun and great to work with, but they can tell you to kick it into high gear when needed. The contests that are put on by corporate (especially during holiday) make working fun, and gives it purpose. The company really seems to drive values, and I appreciate it. I'm not just an associate, I'm a real person!

    Cons

The part time hours can suck, but that's expected. The closing shift can be monotonous with all the straightening.
