I worked at A B Mauri Food (More than a year)

    Pros

    -Great team
    -Great Management
    -Great work life balance
    -Great benefits package

    Cons

Heavy turnover because there is no upward growth within the organization. No one grows out of the customer service specialist title.

    Advice to Management

    - Give employee incentives for a better title or growth within the company once the employee has reached their targeted milestones. No one wants to be a Client Service Specialist forever

    Pros

Nice people outside of Customer Service Department

    Cons

Poorest management I have had, no concern for employee welfare, very poor procedures, nepotism, I can go on and on....

    Advice to Management

No use to give any advice, they don't listen to it anyway.

    Pros

Fast-Paced environment and interaction with customers is great. If you love multi-tasking and spreadsheets galore , this is the job for you.

    Cons

No life-work balance at all. Very demanding hours often taking lap top home on nights and weekends just to stay ahead. Training is minimal and you are expected to jump in a cubicle and perform at a 99% accuracy rating right from the start. Never ending spread sheets and no continual training after the first week.
Great intentions, dedication, energy and learning skills go unnoticed.

    Advice to Management

Slow down the intense minimal training and give employee a chance to gain and maintain customer loyalty. To learn the many programs and get their feet wet. Allow questions to be asked and be available .

I have been working at A B Mauri Food full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

12 Paid holidays, 2-weeks vacation to start, insurance, 401K, casual Friday's, flexible schedule (depending on your department), very nice co-workers (they make putting up with VP's worth it). Pay also seems competitive for the marketplace.

    Cons

VP's don't seem to have a grasp of what is going on in their departments and blame others for that when they really just need to interact and talk with their staff more. The management also likes to meet about restructuring everything so things never seem stable.

    Advice to Management

HR Needs a good deal of work - I have no faith in them. The VP's also need to talk with their staff more so they know what's going on in their departments. Also too many people in finance and not enough in IT.

I have been working at A B Mauri Food full-time

    Pros

Company with strong growing, very nice people to work with, operators and "some" managers, including plant manager, are very nice personnel to deal with. Company work schedule is very good and they don't push employees to work under stress. Environment is fairly clean and not much messy. Also machinery are a kind of clean and not noisy as many manufacturing companies where compressed air and hydraulic system are in action. Production personnel have fair knowledge in what they are doing and they are not nasty people like those that think as knowing everything. Office personnel are somewhat polity and some of then will listen your need.
Also the pay rate is very good comparing with other companies in the state of Texas.
They offer uniform and safety shoes and also offer a fair lunch room and a free coffee to all employees at any time.

    Cons

Work for AB Mauri is a new experience where you need to be careful with whom you will interact because they have, among the good managers, other terrible managers with a predisposition to put you in terrible trouble. Due the lack of knowledge they do not feel confident to carry successfully their position feeling confronted by the knowledge of his subordinated.
I was harassed, mistreated and discriminated by a AB Mauri manager with this kind of character and personality.
Company also have a very poor health and dental insurance. Employees need to pay a good slice of the salary to get something better.
There are gossip from those that have less than others and they will do the best possible to eliminate the one with more knowledge from their department and, if possible, from the company.

    Advice to Management

You should investigate better how your managers and supervisors treat their people. You should take more care to those who keep your machines running and making products coming out of the warehouse. Resumes DOES NOT show character and personality of a person. Investigate it very well before hiring anyone.
