I have been working at A.E. Petsche full-time

    Pros

There are a very few good people left, but they are not valued. This company provides a paycheck and a great opportunity to learn valuable life/career lessons, the hard way.

    Cons

Management is incompetent, egotistical, and uses bully tactics. Management does not understand the business. LOOK at the dwindling sales figures. Customers and vendors are looking elsewhere. Our competitors should send AEP 'Thank You' cards.

    Advice to Management

    Open your eyes...

I have been working at A.E. Petsche full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are some really good people who work here who try very hard.

    Cons

No communication between departments, they work against each other instead working toward a common goal. The ERP is very out dated and may be the root cause to the majority of the issues here. Good place to start if you are right out of school. The president and most of upper management are putting the cart way before the horse so to speak. It is getting to be a toxic environment. Most of upper management are rarely in the office trying to solve the MULTIPLE issues that are going on. It's a broken company stay away unless you just desperatly need a paycheck. Also speaking of which this company can't seem to figure out how to pay out bonus checks correctly.

    Advice to Management

The president needs to actually lead and solve problems instead of talk about the same old things over and over....and over.........and over. Arrow needs to replace the president

I have been working at A.E. Petsche full-time

    Pros

Good line card. Solid name recognition in the Mil/Aero segment. Does well in larger VMI situations. Arrow can help in certain areas.

    Cons

Joe Azavedo is lost. No idea how he keeps his position as president. Losing share year over year. Dreadfully mishandled acquisition of CPN Denelex. Driven off a lot of the better sales people. Puts no focus on the product team. ALL the product managers have left and not been replaced (wire, cable, connectors and hmp). They have been importing Arrow people with dreadful results.

    Advice to Management

You can't service customers without an intelligent, well trained inside sales team. You don't have that. Your computer system is a joke. Stop addressing the symptom and address the real cause for decline in sales: you refuse to invest in infrastructure and pay personnel fairly. Wire masters and SEA will continue to gain share unless you learn how to service the customer. ARROW! Get better management in place or watch this fail.

New CEO (Joe Azevedo) and emerging executive leadership team has an exciting vision to transform the industry and scale for global growth.
At A. E. Petsche, not only are your contributions noticed they are also very much appreciated and rewarded by the company.

    Cons

Still evolving reporting systems and analytical sophistication. This challenge also serves as an opportunity to innovate new paths and ideas to power future growth

    Advice to Management

Over communicate your exciting vision for the future. The company has the right plan and top talent to flawless ly execute. Simplify the agenda; At the end of the day, it's all about selling more at a higher margin.
