    Negative Outlook

I worked at A&D Engineering full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Flexible work environment and vacation policy

    Cons

The culture here is in shambles and the parent Japanese Company is trying to run things the same way that they have 40 years ago. The infrastructure as far as software and sales tools is dated or nonexistent, which makes reporting or any sort of marketing near impossible especially when it comes to tracking initiatives or launching them effectively. New products are constantly delayed and there isn't great... investment to help drive new business in strategic business units. Lastly, there is no room for growth or for additional development for employees.

    Advice to Management

Build actual business plans with concrete goals and objectives as opposed to - "Be a global company and be $X revenue" without any thought into how to get there or with any investment. Stop treating your local offices as mere revenue drivers.

    Pros

Diversity in workforce, nicely remodeled office space, great parties

    Cons

Top heavy in Management, need more workplace collaboration

    Advice to Management

Apples & Oranges; this mixture needs more fruit in the basket to delight the sweete sensation of success. The Execs all prefer Apples leaving the office people with PCs & Laptops to cultivate daily business. Connecting these two platforms has always been a struggling; much like the workers & managers. Most Managers are offsite making it a distant relationship with the workforce all-the-while the President has... his own almanac full of people he worked with in the past and trusts that his vision will be sowed the way he intended. There a few at the top that needs to get of their high horse and cultivate with others.

    I worked at A&D Engineering

    Pros

At the core, a very good product. Usually a decent national inventory. Decent offices and HR department. Free water and occasional lunch.

    Cons

Out dated products. Pricing nightmare internally & externally. Very little control over sales outlets. Close to zero marketing or sales support. Poor communication internally.

    Advice to Management

Be transparent. Take control of your product & your business. Support your employees.

    I worked at A&D Engineering full-time

    Pros

Small company environment, at least used to be....

    Cons

-New sr management knows nothing about the industry and makes it up as it go. -Don't question the management or else you will get the boot -Lots of "big plans" and "good ideas", nothing ever comes through -Don't expect to mean industry average pays

    Advice to Management

Ever since the new CEO brought in a hand full of his friends and calling them Directors, the company sales had gone nowhere but down. Those positive reviews are likely fake just balance out these honest reviews. I can go on for days but you get my point. Ask people around are the industry. They can tell you all about it.

I worked at A&D Engineering full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

A&D Engineering is made up of great people. The company offers many chances to travel to tradeshows, partners and customers. They offer various programs aimed at promoting personal growth.

    Cons

The company tends to be a bit overzealous when it comes to policies and procedures. That paperwork focus limits the team's ability to be as creative as it could be.

    Advice to Management

Keep employees motivated. Look carefully at what specific team members need. Encourage as oppose to punish.
