Pros

Our coworkers, peers, and others GM's that work together to help each other figure out the many multiple systems needed to allow corporate to function.

Cons

I really don't know where to begin. This company has been through 4 VP of Operations in 3 years and has no sense of transparency or direction. The new "CFO" after a quick google can be linked to multiple scams and lawsuits involving financial fraud, so that is assuring. The entire Human Resources department is run by one person (they have gone through 3 assistants in as many years) and the development of staff and substance behind culture is nonexistent. The pay is okay for the area, but expectation from ownership on labor is unattainable. If you are in any salaried position, expect to work 60 hours and cut your entire staff for 2 months in the offseason. You will be expected to download WhatsApp and share updates constantly throughout the night between 25-30 other leaders and disciplinary action will be taken if this is not complied with. Lastly would be the lack of maintenance support across the company. You are expected to sellout 100% each night the market is sold out, room in safe conditions or not. Most properties do not have maintenance staff and share 2 "regionals" to put band aids over issues. It is a good company to start base level in and learn (because everything will be thrown on you when everyone else quits) but be very careful to relocate for this company.

Pros

I've been working at A&R Group for some time now and I can confidently say that it's one of the best decisions I've made in my professional journey. The company stands out not only because of its commitment to excellence but also due to its vibrant, fun, and collaborative work culture. What makes A&R Group truly unique is its focus on creating a positive work experience for all employees. The company frequently organizes social events that foster camaraderie and teamwork among colleagues. These gatherings are not just fun but also provide an opportunity to connect with team members outside the regular work context. Moreover, A&R Group understands the importance of work-life balance. This flexibility has allowed me to maintain high productivity levels without compromising my personal life. Personally, I enjoy the supportive and friendly work culture at A&R Group. There's a sense of unity and mutual respect that permeates every level of the organization. Everyone is encouraged to share ideas, ask questions, and contribute to the overall success of the company. Working at A&R Group has been a remarkable experience. I'm extremely proud to be part of such an amazing team and I look forward to contributing to our collective success in the future. If you're someone who values hard work, enjoys a good laugh, and appreciates a supportive and collaborative work environment, A&R Group would be an ideal place for you.

Cons

While A&R Group is a solid company with a strong reputation in the lodging industry, there are a few potential downsides that some employees might experience. (Please note that these are general observations and may not apply to everyone's experience.) High Demand: Given the nature of the lodging industry, the work can be demanding and may require long hours, particularly during peak seasons. This could impact work-life balance for some employees. Location: Although headquartered in beautiful Gulf Shores, Alabama, not all positions offer remote work options. This means potential employees must be willing to relocate or commute, which may not be ideal for everyone. Fast-Paced Environment: The company is rapidly expanding, which, while exciting, also means a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Some employees might find this stressful.
