    Advice to Management

Let the employees do their damn job and stay out of our hair.

I have been working at AAR full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -Excellent pay
    -Challenging work
    -Great people to work with

    Cons

-Lousy work life balance - whatever time off you get- use it before you loose it.
-Senior Leadership is concerned about the profit they make not looking out for the people that help them to achieve their margins.
-Training is on your dime. They want it but will not pay for it with their dollars. be prepared for this.

    Advice to Management

Stop being so cheap when it comes to your training budget. The investment you make in your people is returned 10 times in goodwill and customer satisfaction (10 times ROI is a good thing).

I worked at AAR (More than a year)

    Pros

It's a great place to get experience and learn about Aviation. If you're getting your A&P license while you're here, this is the spot. The only thing is, you don't want to stay long term.

    Cons

Go to another company as fast as you can, this company doesn't value it's employees at all. Everyone is disposable and lay-offs are constant.

    Advice to Management

Keep your good workers and it would promote a better environment.

I worked at AAR (Less than a year)

    Pros

They keep you current on your training, evaluations every 6 months and help you in areas where you need improving, friendly people. support equipment in fairly good shape, parts room usually has stuff you need in stock. They provide tuition reimbursement to their employees.

    Cons

lot of red tape when it comes to workload, terminations for dumb reasons (knew someone got fired to taking a small rock out from inside his shoe). Need some more support equipment.

    Advice to Management

Listen you the employees, instead of hiring more contractors and sending the directs home, keep the directs and train them on whatever they need training on and keep them working. Contractors come and go, directs will appreciate the training and will stay there longer

    Pros

Good company to grow and learn

    Cons

Middle management is very unprofessional and too much ego problem. Top Management is aware of this but still don't know why not ready to take action. true facts been manipulated and employees are tricked for some one's personal/ professional benefits.

    Advice to Management

Please try to understand what's actually going on within the shop floor and try to understand the frustration and poor satisfaction of middle management. "If you need respect you have to respect all" that is what middle management has to understand.
