Pros
For the area, the pay was phenomenally good, but this may have been a carryover from the Reliance/Baldor days. The local team, my supervisor, the plant manager, and many of our engineers were some of the best that I've ever had the pleasure of working with.
Cons
After ABB purchased Baldor (our facility manufactured custom 300hp+ Reliance motors) they spent quite a bit of money on two local facilities, only to shut them down 3 years later. Rather than continue to manufacture a good reliable motor that our customers loved that continues to make a profit, they decided that due to the change in political climate, that they would sell a cheaper alternative built overseas for a higher profit return. Be wary if ABB buys the company you work for, they're in the business of buying out competition, shutting it down, and then selling junk back in its place.

Pros
People are committed to their work and open to help, management understand employees special circumstances within reason. Baldor does not take short cuts when it comes to safety.
Cons
Recent layoffs and downsizing are disturbing the morale of employees
