Feb 20, 2020 - Global Digital Marketing and Communication Manager in BengaluruRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The politics is visibly less than other places The organization is so huge, you can work on various roles People are generally nice and kind the work culture and approach is more conservativework culture and approach is more conservativework culture and approach is more conservative than aggressive you know you are working for a company that has been there for 130 years
Cons
The work culture and approach is more conservative than aggressive- this can be a bas thing too. The company changes, constanlty. within two years enerite structure will change, and by the time you understand the new structure and build you roadmap, the structure changes again. right from the CEO to the bottom. salaries are really low. some bad managers are there. smart manager who fail to meet their targets and ensure they find a scapegoat to blame.

Good work life balance. Flexible and peaceful work culture. Moderately competitive work environment.

The company's finance department has an excellent work culture where every employee is made to fee valued. Colleagues are always willing to help. Young staff also frequently organized birthday celebrations. Enjoyable working atmosphere!
Cons
Due to large size of company, there could be many invoices to process in the Accounts Payable department. However with the new invoice scanning system the amount of workload for staff could be reduced significantly.

Jan 17, 2019 - R&D Engineer in Greenville, SCRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
”Flexible” hours Challenging subject matter Nice working environment People overall are nice and easy to get along with Very nice lab and equipment Healthy and safe work culture. We are encouraged to stretch and exercise during the day ABB is slowly moving in with much better policies and benefits Lots of smarty pants people to learn from
Cons
Local managers interpret some policies however they want with no accountability (like the new flexible hours policy) ABB vacation policies still haven’t been applied to their adopted Baldor people. Projects drag on and on waiting on layers of approval Too many alpha males roaming the building Pay is so-so HR is farmed out and is the worst Some managers are not good managers of people and micro manage you Raises are insulting Good luck getting a promotion Tendency to make a science project out of the most basic ideas
