Truly values input from employees, and tries to make it an anjoyable and rewarding place to work. Very involved in work at the national and local level, tries to make everyone feel welcome and involved. Pay structures have improved over recent years, benefits have always been strong.

There is always room for improvements in communication and structure, as with most companies.

Good company to work for

I worked on the commercial pest control department. This is a good department if you already have experience. You'll have consistent work. Promotions are definitely possible if you want to move into management.
Cons
Like any pest control job, your work hours are going to revolve around your customer's needs. So servicing hours can be inconsistent. You may have to work late one day, then service a restaurant the next morning as early as 4am. Since you have mostly the same clients every month, you usually can plan ahead for this.

Great company to work for, willing to train any employees for whichever position you are working in, including licenses and training needed for your field.
Cons
There is a limit to how much income is able to be made in technician positions.

Pros
Everyone at the office is always so friendly and genuinely cares about each other. We have holidays events that bring everyone closer together and having fun is not shunned upon. I truly believe the company sees its employees as an asset and appreciates the hard work everyone puts in every day they are here (or out in the field)
Cons
Office life may be very different than a technician who is out in the field with customers but the company is now back to having in person events/meetings which bring us closer together and a better understanding/appreciation of each other and what can be improved upon.

Pros
I didn’t find any pros. Not a single one. The ceo and his family are good people but they have no clue what’s happening further down the line. Typical big company stuff.
Cons
Lawn department is a joke. One of the lowest paying companies in DFW, the management is inconsistent at best, and they don’t even own equipment. Not even a sod cutter… oh and don’t relocate for these guys. They make a lot of promises but can’t follow through on a single one. Other departments may be fine but if you’re a lawn or landscape guy just go somewhere else.

The benefits were very good. Company provides vehicle which you take home, business cell phone and other technology.
Cons
Having to work outside in the heat/freezing weather and being exposed to pesticides. Weather drives the ability for some to work.

I have worked at ABC for over 13 years. I have served many roles over my tenure and have seen this company change and grow. Two of the constants I have witnessed is ABC's passion for its people and the drive to be excellent in all areas of service. ABC is the leader in the market and has a high performing, winning culture.
Cons
ABC continues to experience massive growth which causes a heavy workload during the busy seasons. Service professionals spend lots of time working outside. Fresh air and some freedom is great, but Texas summers are hot.
