    Pros

Being a DA I have got the opportunity, motivation and freedom to work on multiple technologies to create tools and applications for automation.

    Cons

DB Architecture and queries are created and developed by Dev. team limiting the sql technical opportunity to Analyst team. Still querying the data and reporting part keeps you challenging and occupied.

    Advice to Management

Work on strengthening the Analyst team by involving them in development activities and I request you to keep an eye on compensation imbalance with in the organisation.

I worked at ABCO Advisory Services India (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice package. Nothing else as positive.

    Cons

The organisation is classified into two in India. Services and engineering.
Services: Roles like Data Analyst, Business Analyst etc comes under services. This is mainly support role and your job will be mainly filling excel sheet, reporting etc. Most of the things will be automated and you will not perform any technical tasks other than running some simple queries. The job is monotonous and boring. Plus there is a lot of dirty politics and lack of professionalism. Many people here are very young (< 3 years of experience) and lacks experience and exposure to any other professional environment. This results in a kind of unethical and at times rude behavior. Also, they will expect even a person with 4 years of experience to take up management roles. If you are 4 years exp. make sure you ask for at least 10 lpa and don't join we you are getting payed less.
Engineering: They are mainly developers. This section handles all R&D works. Here things are much better. They get paid very high. new joinees were getting payed above 10 lack per annum. Though I don't have any direct experience, some of my friends were telling there no much scope of learning even here, Most of the challenging stuffs are done by folks in Austin.

    Advice to Management

Be frank about the technical opportunities during interview.

I have been working at ABCO Advisory Services India full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Good salary
work life balance is great - Depend upon team ;)
    24 paid leaves
    12 sick leaves
    12 Abco holidays

    Cons

    Not much learning
In the name of data analysts, most of them do data entry.
Services team have a concept called as task sheet where time should be entered for each task.
Managers and leads will spend more time on doing micro management.
    Bad Management, time report, micromanagement
Inexperienced people not worth to be even managers are promoted as Associate Managers and leads.
Imbalance of work across the teams, some have too much and some are free.
    No team outing

    Advice to Management

Provide quality work to employees Most of the problem is because of the incompetent/task sheet oriented leads in services team.
If you can't figure out why too many good employees are leaving, there is something seriously wrong with you guys.
