I have been working at ABCO Advisory Services India full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

*Work culture. No strict timings and dress code
*Recognitions through a small payment or gift
      based awards
    * Possibility of getting 100% bonus is higher

    Cons

*Flexible timings is actually a curse for making you stay longer to take calls with the US senior leadership team
    * Poor performance review system.Simply they just equals the rating for the goals to adjust the overall rating which they've already decided.
    * Hike is very low even for the promotion candidates. No proper normalization is there for people who are getting low salary.
    * After the recent acquisition by Optum employees are treated by a lower designation than the current ones internally. They say this will affect nothing. However you can clearly see that difference with the Hike.
    * Worst Managers.Simply they come up with excuses. They are so good in it.
    * Team leads are the next head aches where they don't know the process of job allocation to the resources.
    * There won't be any communication between the employees and leads/managers for most of the time. Anyone can do anything.
    * Quality of Abco has drastically changed on terms of everything ever since the acquisition.Consider this company as the Service based company and not the Product based ones.
    * Worst ever food card money allocation. They simply said you can have a meal for 50 rupees and allocated 1100 for a month.Previously it was 2500.
    * Hard to gain technical knowledge. We have to spend extra time for learning something technical.
    * Job is not competitive.Worst part is they know it already and pay less for that even when they earn in millions and billions.

    Advice to Management

*Treat everyone with equality in terms of everything.Pay better for the best performer at least instead of not paying to anyone. This is not the ideal way of showing bigger revenue for UHG

    Pros

One of the best payers in chennai, at par with Amazon/Paypal, learning is limited, good stack of technologies, the integration with Optum has slowed things further, but a very good place if you need stability with good pay

    Cons

slow processes, limited innovation, slow paced, limited learning and challenges

    Advice to Management

Invest and engage your employees. pay and stability is good, thats one part well done. Keep employees engaged with challenges and good work.

I worked at ABCO Advisory Services India full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    1. Some of the people are genuinely nice, helpful, and technically adept.
    2. Work from home and flexible work timings

    Cons

    1. The quality of the work is not good at all. Most of the good work is done by the US teams and the second rate work is passed down to Chennai. This is even more pronounced since the acquisition by Optum (United Healthcare).
    2. The notice period is a humungous 90 days for everyone. This part is very important as they are never willing to reduce it beyond 10-15 days that too only with a buyout. It is very difficult finding a company that will wait for you for 90 days when you want to change, take my word for it.
    3. Most of your good ideas for product improvement are shot down by upper management, especially now when most of the products are in transition due to the acquisition.
    4. There is no clear roadmap for any of the products. Most of them are in a dangling state and will be for a significant amount of time, again because of the acquisition.
    5. Learning is very limited due to the nature of work available. You will not learn to build/maintain fast efficient products, just ones that get the job done no matter how slow they are.

    Advice to Management

    1. Get better work for devs in Chennai
    2. Listen to employees when improvements are suggested, some of them might really help you and your products out in the long run.
    3. Reduce the notice period. This is not the 80's. Things don't always work out with employees, give them a better chance of finding a place they will be happy at. Unless you're satisfied with unhappy employees slogging away at work that is.
