    No big cons.

Keep trying to do the right thing. I think it's working.

I have been working at ABRA Auto Body & Glass full-time

    Pros

Good people, high standards, busy shops.

    Cons

Fast in changing direction, unknown long term goals.

    Advice to Management

Invest in the shops and the people, go for the long view.

I worked at ABRA Auto Body & Glass full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Offices look nice, benefits are okay despite high deductible

    Cons

Little to no flexibility for shifts, short term disability plan barely pays anything, terrible communication practices between locations and corporate/call center

    Advice to Management

Offer paid maternity leave and have communication workshops regularly. Some personalities at corporate are challenging to deal with. I like what Ann was doing with the place when I was employed

  4. Helpful (1)

"Lack of experience and knowledge of fixing cars with too young of a management crew in the front office."

    Pros

Comeradere between experienced technicians and painters to get the jobs in and out the door without the help of the front office staff.

    Cons

The lack of experience in the front office.

    Advice to Management

Get more knowledgable people in the front office instead of young people who keep asking experienced techs and painters to do their job and helping them to write the estimate more than once. They also need to remember to order the parts that are required that the tech tells them to. TO GET THE JOBS DONE THE FIRST TIME AND ON TIME this NEEDS to happen!!

    Pros

Good benefits, good pay, good training

    Cons

Call center in Minnesota overbooks appointments for each individual office and that office has to deal with the complications.

    Pros

Monday thru Friday with NO Saturdays.

    Cons

Management doesn't keep promises about raises, Management cares more about quantity then quality.

    Advice to Management

Don't give all the good work just to 1 tech, Work should be divided equally.

I have been working at ABRA Auto Body & Glass full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    You get bonuses.
    Get weekends off.

    Cons

The CSM is always the fall guy. No matter what happens, the CSM will always be blamed.
The company promises raises every 6 months but don't actually give any.
The bonuses, at maximum, are about $80 in a month.
They say they hire from within but in order for that to happen, you have to have a whole shop behind you ready to quit if they don't hire from within.

    Advice to Management

Be honest from the start. Don't say there is room to grow or promise raises when there really isn't any raise to be had. Don't say you hire from within when you really don't unless it is your buddy or your hand is forced by a shop.
