    Pros

Weekly pay, decent benefits, most weekends off

    Cons

This is a large company so it might be different in some areas. I’ve been with the company since before the big investment company got involved and now merging with caliber collision. There is a huge disconnect from employees to management at all levels. Glass and body divisions operate like a feuding family. At all levels it’s common to belittle others and their performance. Ridiculous expectations. My direct supervisor treats his employees like second class people, is not involved. Way too much changing of employees, leads to no one being on the same page.

    Advice to Management

Since senior management is now caliber I ask you to right this ship or run it into an iceberg and just sink it fast.

I have been working at ABRA Auto Body & Glass full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The takeover by Caliber is a blessing. Other than that, there are no pros in the way CEO Fandozzi ran this company into the ground.

    Cons

The employees of ABRA had zero leadership lately. Nothing but double talk and greed. No integrity. No honor. Brought to the company a bunch of numb nuts.

    Advice to Management

Thank God for Caliber. We can't not wait for true leadership.

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at ABRA Auto Body & Glass full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Decent base pay with decent commission. However, commissions were not based on me bringing more people through the door, they were based on how well the shop did that month (so not directly realted to my work)

    Cons

Company President did away with my position, even though I worked there 5.5 years. She was pushing to be a billion dollar company.

    Advice to Management

    More encouragement for employees.

    Pros

Good people, high standards, busy shops.

    Cons

Fast in changing direction, unknown long term goals.

    Advice to Management

Invest in the shops and the people, go for the long view.

I worked at ABRA Auto Body & Glass full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Offices look nice, benefits are okay despite high deductible

    Cons

Little to no flexibility for shifts, short term disability plan barely pays anything, terrible communication practices between locations and corporate/call center

    Advice to Management

Offer paid maternity leave and have communication workshops regularly. Some personalities at corporate are challenging to deal with. I like what Ann was doing with the place when I was employed

  10. Helpful (2)

"Lack of experience and knowledge of fixing cars with too young of a management crew in the front office."

    StarStarStarStarStar
    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee
    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

Comeradere between experienced technicians and painters to get the jobs in and out the door without the help of the front office staff.

    Cons

The lack of experience in the front office.

    Advice to Management

Get more knowledgable people in the front office instead of young people who keep asking experienced techs and painters to do their job and helping them to write the estimate more than once. They also need to remember to order the parts that are required that the tech tells them to. TO GET THE JOBS DONE THE FIRST TIME AND ON TIME this NEEDS to happen!!
