I worked at ACCENT Marketing Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I was good pay and you could earn good bonuses on top of your base pay. Also had good insurance and benefits when I was there.

    Cons

It is stressful work and I didn't like taking calls all the time. Call center life is just not for me.

    Pros

To provide excellent customer service skills for people having technical issues with electronic devices or trouble understanding the billing process.

    Cons

Being cussed out ruthlessly by people who used their phone in another country and do not want to pay the $1,000+ phone bill.

    Advice to Management

My immediate management was team oriented. We were serious about our job but had fun with it too. Could not have asked for a better manager.

I worked at ACCENT Marketing Services full-time

    Pros

ACCENT was a great place to get some good experience and move on to something else. Lots of opportunity to be exposed to different industries.

    Cons

ACCENT could not figure out what business it wanted to be in, as a result, split into multiple different companies.

    Advice to Management

Not applicable, as ACCENT Marketing Services is no longer a company. General advice is to have a better understanding of your identity in the marketplace. Spent too much time projecting an image that was not reality, and ignoring the true perception of the company in the marketplace.

    Pros

There is always overtime to work. You can call out alot and still have a job as they give a lot flex time.

    Cons

They don't pass on the messages of their client to their staff in a timely manner. They have a band aid approach to most all their problems, which just in turns causes their employee stats to suffer. They don't teach you how to be a empathetic engagement specialist they teach you a cookie cutter approach.

    Advice to Management

teach your people how to critically think.

    Pros

During my tenure at ACCENT, I was provided with leadership, encouragement and guidance. It was a pleasure working with such a talented group of individuals and appreciate having had the opportunity to work for such a compassionate and supportive organization.

    Cons

New process and procedures were difficult to implement. Employee feedback lacked follow up and resolution. Fiscal constraints prevented improved equipment and assets.
