    Pros

A lot of opportunities for extra hours, every RBT/BI I have met has been super sweet and great to work with.

    Cons

Hours are never consistent since clients cancel, not the fault of the company

    ACES WILL EXPLOIT YOU

    Aug 21, 2022 - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician

    Business Outlook

    Pros

    - Coworkers are often very nice - Working with the kids is extremely rewarding

    Cons

    - There is no equal pay amongst people with the same experience and qualifications - People who have been with the company for years are being paid less than new hires that have less experience - They force you to stay on a case even if you’re struggling or in an unsafe situation - Supervisors do not collaborate with RBTs/BIs (who are in direct contact with clients several days a week) and just boss you around even if it’s overall not beneficial to the client - Supervisors will have substantially less RBT/BI experience than the RBTs/BIs working under them - They make you keep track of supervision hours which should be the supervisors' responsibility (the role is in the name, duh) ACEs is a good way to get your foot in the door for the ABA Therapy field, but you can find hundreds of other companies that can do the same and will probably treat you a lot better. I love my job and my clients, but I am only met with respect by my superiors.

Great for part time and if you want a career

Sep 8, 2022 - Behavoral Interventionist in Garden Grove, CA

    Business Outlook

    Pros

-Easy to get hired -Interview was simple, over zoom -Good part time job if you're in school or in between careers -Flexible hours but you have to confirm a certain slot. Ie, 3-7pm Weekdays -Coworkers are all friendly and willing to help -Opportunity for growth if you get your masters -Get to play games all day and see the new games kids are playing nowadays

    Cons

-The documents and medical work was time consuming but all paid. -Meetings and training are minimum wage -Part time hours are ~3 hours a day and after school hours. -Seeing supervisors may end up only being on zoom/teams -Some parents/caregivers of the client are not as friendly -Not for the faint of heart and the job is not easy. Can be mentally and physically tolling.

    Good Place to Get Experience

Sep 22, 2022 - Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

Larger company allows for collaboration and mentorship across clinics and states

    Cons

Time differences between main offices in CA and offices in other states can be frustrating, especially if something is time-sensitive, i.e. a technology issue.

    Smoke & Mirrors

    Aug 19, 2022 - Supervisor

    Pros

They will dazzle you with culture and hiring bonus - you’ll get full time and the benefits are good (healthcare). They are opening office so fast so chances of you being close to your home is possible. They will move you up the ladder fast!

    Cons

Where to start: 1. You’ll be harassed weekly if not daily about meeting your billable numbers. 2. You will not have a work life balance (they like to preach this but don’t follow through) 3. HR is a mess and no matter how much they know they need to fix it all you’ll get are excuses as to why they don’t respond or drop the ball. 4. Poor clinicians will be promoted even thought they struggle clinically. 5. They will not invest to ensure their staff across the board is properly trained- you training an RBT, you’ll be pressured to pass them even though they should fail. 6. Want a raise, just threaten to quit- you’ll get. A raise and a promotion even you don’t deserve it. 7. You’ll have clients that don’t have full staffing but they will keep taking more and more clients. Sometimes leaving contracts unfulfilled and clients waiting for an entire authorization period or more. But hey keep taking more clients. 8. Keep opening offices and creating overhead. 9. Care more about hiring and not keeping current staff……

Nice part time job for college/those who want experience in psych healthcare

Sep 23, 2022 - Behavior Interventionist in Irvine, CA

    Business Outlook

    Pros

Flexible scheduling, nice BCBAs and supervisors, paid drive time, nice clinics

    Cons

Rescheduling rarely picks up, slow communication with schedulers/those in charge of timestamps with providers, timestamps and cancellations take a while to process, clients cancelling at the door
