I have been working at ACES part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great place to work with special needs kids. Very comprehensive training paid by employer, and company supports you on your next certification steps. They provide corporate IPad, all work flow is online. I like this high tech approach. Job is very creative. With different clients you could build your professional skills. Flexible hours and flexible environments. We see some clients at office, at school, in the community or homes. Team of colleagues and supervisors is very helpful. I would definetely recommend this place to work with special needs kids.

    Cons

To get more hours you need to figure out where to look for sub cases. Ask more experiences colleagues. Actively talk to supervisors and ask for cases. Having some cases in office will help to build connections. This job involves patience, creativirt, attention to details, using technology a lot.

    Advice to Management

Develop and implement clear career paths /compensation advancement opportunities for BIs.

Diverse opportunities to make sessions fun.

Clients may cancel at their discretion which may affect your finances dramatically.

I worked at ACES part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Work independently one on one

    Cons

Supervisor was not very good and didn’t know what to do in difficult situations.
Hr doesn’t follow up , they called months after I filled a report not very useful.
Sometimes they add goal to meet requirements for insurance even when kiddos might not need them.
Sessions can be cancelled by parents therefore miss out on hours

    Advice to Management

Be more like the Santa Jose office had no complaints with them
