    I worked at ACH Food Companies full-time

    Pros

    The ACH facility in Ankeny is a show place. Most of the equipment is state of the art, facility is clean. Well shown to customers. Outside of the facility the brand and name speak well, too bad the employees on the inside do not.....so to the "cons"

    Cons

    Many cons and "cons" in the plant. Especially the non-bargaining sector of management and paper pushers. Each department, first and foremost the QA/QC department, are too busy planning the next hurdle and back stab to be functional in a team atmosphere. The environment is cancerous. Department heads need to truly work together. QA needs to be supportive and not point out a problem and leave the issue for someone else to fix.

    Advice to Management

    Fix cultural relations within management. It's been that way for years. Surprised anything gets out the door.

    Pros

    Smaller organization, more of a financial based company with regards to numbers.

    Cons

    A lot of turnover, new management slowly pushed out the people who had been there.
