I have been working at ADB full-time

    Pros

Small local team, casual work environment in a nice location. Competitive health and 401k benefits, and competitive salary and compensation offerings.

    Cons

In a company-wide effort to re-brand and survive in the industry, there have been several major restructuring events, causing a significant churn in resource, and causing significant change in product portfolio.

    Advice to Management

Keep fighting to survive. It's not comfy for anyone in the company and you have to do whatever it takes, so carry on.

I worked at ADB full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Going private and new focus on software & services seems to start bearing fruit. The company definitely looks better now than it did a few years ago.

    Cons

Still a big question mark if The Big Turn can be accomplished.

    Advice to Management

Listen closely to your employees & customers.

I worked at ADB full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Salary: is ok. (You may get a discretionary bonus from time to time)
    - "international": dIfferent locations in the world (+5 contries, 3 continents)
    - Challenging

    Cons

    - Very poor C-Level Management (CEO is just ok, CTO very incomptent [no proven track record, CMO [don't know what he does?], other C-levels no info)
    - Bureaucrat: the owner make decision for major projects which may be frustrating
    - Poor corporate culture
    - Broadly good people hired but very badly managed
    - "Wait until it's too late" mentality instead of "anticipate" mentality

    Advice to Management

This company used to be a "dream" company a few years ago like Google or Facebook are nowadays in Poland. Major changes needs to happen to make this company big again!

    Pros

A friendly environment. If you are looking for stability ADB is a very good bet. Flexible working hours and rarely exceeded, good work life balance.

    Cons

ADB is a privately owned business and the owners make all the critical decisions. This can be frustrating. The Company makes decisions and responds at a pace more akin to a big bureaucratic company.

    Advice to Management

    Be concrete and pragmatic.

I worked at ADB (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You will learn skills that you can't find elsewhere, not in the same company.
Wage is far more than the country average.
Flexible office hours, good working environment.
It has reputation of an extremely selective company (it really is), if you came from ADB you will find a job everywhere.

    Cons

The management is incompetent and never know what to do.
Products engineered in years and never sold, contracts awarded with a ridiculously close due date and never delivered in time, big paying customers lost for silly reasons, others kept as a loss.

The company had an extremely skilled team, but they fired a lot of them, then the others ran away starting a brain diaspora.
The managers all remained in place with a 1:1 ratio with developers, and the status of the leadership is ridiculous:
there are groups of managers doing the same exact stuff and continuously plan meetings to appear doing something,
there are also product (or project) managers which lost their product (or project) years ago and keep on being the manager of nothing,
executive of a closed division grazing in the hallway, greetings everyone all the time

    Advice to Management

Decide what do you want to be when you grow up

    be clear in communicating results

I have been working at ADB full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Knowledge of workmates - top class, you can learn EVERYTHING from scratch, they can answer any, even hardest question, on condition they have time ;)
Benefits - ok, typical for programmers.
Managers - treat you as their kids. So if you don't like it this way, then - see cons.
Great for 1st or 2nd job and if you want to develop & like changes!
If you want to do what you have been doing all the time, don't join! Change is constant! Also org changes.

    Cons

Managers - sometimes too friendly and you lack open telling-off, they use the techniques they learnt - sometimes it;s too artificial. But maybe it's mine only.

    Advice to Management

Keep findin good customers to have interesting IoT projecs!!!.
