    Pros

    Cons

I really can not think of any

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Great people in operations and engineering.

    Cons

Slow growth, management is not very competent, not many opportunities for professional growth. Watch out, your job will more than likely get shipped to China.

    Advice to Management

Stop focusing on costs and focus on customer satisfaction and quality of product and services.

    Pros

ADC's benefits and compensation are at least at market rates, if not above. The company does an excellent job of promoting and work and life balance for its employees. I have never had a problem in getting the time off I need approved. The corporate facilities are also very nice and are in a nice location, close to plenty of restaurants and shopping.

    Cons

Career growth is either meteoric or non-existant. If you don't find a way to distinguish yourself, you could find yourself doing the same menial tasks month after month for years. If you get on the growth track, the rise can be quick and powerful. Additionally, communication is horrendous. Senior leadership does a pretty decent job when they try, but middle managers and supervisors really struggle in this regard.

    Advice to Management

    Communicate better.

    Pros

Good benifits and good people. Job was interesting for a while. Healthcare was great and the PTO policy/amount is better than i HAVE SEEN ANYWHERE

    Cons

No career development or real opportunity for advancement. It just was not in the culture there to try to move people around or upwards. The pay is below average- this is a stated policy to pay below the median range of camparable companies/positions.

    Advice to Management

There really needs to be some attention paid to people development. The opportunity to grow in ones career is severely lacking.

    Pros

    It's a job - you got hired

    Cons

From what I saw, every time a manager quit/got let go, their whole staff would change. Had to bring in their own people, which will be the first to get laid off when the next manager changes

    Advice to Management

    Think before you implement

I worked at ADC Telecommunications full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Learn SAP and knew a lot of international colleagues. SAP is a very useful software that is applicable almost everywhere :)

    Cons

It is very unstable to work in ADC as the management was too stressed as their jobs were on the line before being bought over by Tyco Electronics

    Advice to Management

    Not application

    Pros

ADC has great people, casual work environment and cool technology. Office environment is very ergonomically friendly. ADC provides great benefits in terms of vacation/medical.

    Cons

ADC is very conservative and changes happen very slowly. This has improved in recent years but is still a hindrance. The company is too focused on manufacturing/operations and not enough on sales/marketing. Also the company has poor branding.

    Advice to Management

Develop processes that enable quicker decisions. Senior management needs to focus more on sales/marketing instead of manufacturing/operations. The company needs a branding makeover.

    Pros

Really good place to work, great people and relaxed worked environment. Benefits package better than other companies.

    Cons

Company will make changes without informing employees of changes until after the fact. Communication between upper management and the rest of the workforce is non existent.

    Advice to Management

Communicate with your work force, they are the ones that meet customers daily and keep the company moving forward.

I worked at ADC Telecommunications full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good concept to co-locate a regional warehouse with strategic teams (Installation, Engineering, Project Management

    Cons

Top heavy influence from corporate team, who were not in touch with the pulse of the employees.

    Advice to Management

It would have been a good thing to get out and away from the corporate offices and listen to your work force.
