    Pros

    tip's are sometimes very good

    Cons

as an employee you are looked over for things that another company would really appreciate... Management is out of touch with the job and its employee's that its hard to communicate things without being reprimanded for something that may not be your fault

    Advice to Management

Happy employees are hard working one's

I worked at ADCO full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good team, great family time, like AD

    Cons

No growth for Expats. Project delivery schedules & design not maintained due to contact interference from almost everyone leading to major changes and delays and cost over runs.

    Advice to Management

Stick to Conceptual design & FEED deliverables to avoid failure/delays or shelving or cost overrun on projects.

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at ADCO full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I can not find any Pros for the Company at this period.
Maybe it is a good place for people above 45 years old who dont care about career growth

    Cons

There is no career growth for expats and there is lots of discrimination. Career ladder is available for Emirati employees but not for expats.
You are not safe; You can work hard but still find your self in the list of termination.

    Advice to Management

Be Transparent and Use Management by Walk Around technique and NOT Management by Warning/Threatening.

I have been working at ADCO full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Work life balance.
    - Lots of holidays.
    - Parking place.
    - Health insurance.
    - Leave allowance.
    - Office space.
    - Working schedule.

    Cons

    - Managers and mid level -so called "team leaders"- show a very poor sense of leading by example, besides, almost always they are improvising on how to.
    - Strong bias on employee nationality.
    - Annual performance assessment is extremely subjective.
    - Lack of job security.
    - And the worst: things are not being done following the procedures, instead depending on who said or who asked.

    Advice to Management

Continue the same way and it will keep being the most inefficient company with the highest payroll in the world.

    Pros

    Good CEO and most svps
    Friendly environment

    Cons

    Poor HR service
Lots of people in HR laughing and talking all day, wouldn't survive outside of UAE, governments drive to give them money while being away from the home or cafe
    Challenge status quo difficult

    Advice to Management

Build a company that can operate on 2000 people and not 6000 with the same output

    Pros

    Cons

Managers do not have any idea about leadership. Lazy managers and lazy locals.

    Advice to Management

Now that you know who are the ones that work, treat them respectfully. You know what I am talking about.

    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at ADCO full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Easy to get personal loan. Abu Dhabi is a nice place to live in.

    Cons

    1. If you're lazy and careless, you'll be fine. If you're smart and diligent, all the workload will be burdened on you and you alone. 2. Not fair assessment. 3. Unfair work schedule and allowances. Just because you are in grade 10- that doesn't mean that you have to work more than those who are in 10+. We work at the same remote area, why the allowance for locals is 3 times higher than expats?

    Advice to Management

Get down to the ground, see what we suffer. More implementation on Management Commitment; only words not practice. Do not over protect supervisors/managers and blame something to foremen.
