I have been working at ADP full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I have been at ADP for 5 years and have always been encouraged to develop as a leader, our investment in leaders is top class and our Women in Leader program sets us apart.

    Cons

to succeed you need to commit, not simply comply, a tick in the box is not good enough. My work/life balance can sometimes be out of kilter and needs correcting.

I have been working at ADP full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

A welll established Company that looks after its staff and has a 1st rate portfolio of solutions to provide its client base with a complete package

    Cons

Make life difficult for themselves by trying to complicate solutions and then having to add fixes.

    Advice to Management

Look at only releasing a solution when we know it fully works.

I worked at ADP full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Friendly, diverse workload, lots of likeminded individuals committed to the wellbeing of the company and developing current products and solutions in line with the industry standards

    Cons

Difficult to progress as a young employee. Many employees stay for a very long time which leaves little room for younger employees to progress despite large skill sets

    Advice to Management

    Construct gen y talent communities

  7. "Too Much BPI (Kaizen/Agile etc etc) and Buzz words"

I have been working at ADP full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good relaxed culture and not chaotic like competitors I have worked at.

    Cons

Too much focus on BPI and trying to follow the industry buzzwords. Day to day as intelligent beings we look to improve our work. It is painful to see people employed specifically for BPI, who have no idea about the actual business, forcing Toyota Car building methodology onto HR/Payroll teams. And then these BPI'ers then retrofit others initiatives and success into their company wide comms on their BPI success catalogue. The Lean Six Sigma Black Belters are creating mas-disengagement.

    Advice to Management

Ditch the BPI methodology designed for making cars, spend the resource on an in house solution on how to improve internal process etc... differentiate yourself by being a leader not a late follower of market trends. How can we compete when we are doing Kaizen/Agile etc etc that every other corporate is doing?

I worked at ADP full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Leaders in certain key positions have the vision and passion to transform the business, dragging it out of the dark ages (everywhere outside the US... the US is not in the dark ages) which it does need. Corporate Excom is a strong and highly credible leadership group. There is a genuine desire to avoid becoming a corporate dinosaur... or the next Kodak.

    Cons

Terrific resistance to change in certain established, old-school senior leaders slows the pace of change. There has been significant turnover in many of these roles recently so this is changing and it's not everywhere... well, not quite!

    Advice to Management

Take more risks, be more entrepreneurial, let go of the past - yesterday's service model is an anachronism.

    Cons
