I have been working at ADS Environmental Services as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nice environment. Nice co-workers. Good work-life balance. The company will be moving to Bridge Street mall in January 2016.

    Cons

No health insurance or 401k available with the company until I earn a full time job offer, which takes at least a year to earn.

    Pros

The comprehensive benefits package, which included tuition assistance for higher education opportunities.

    Cons

Unfortunately, no matter how employee friendly a corporate position may be, there will always be inherent downsides. For example, in 2000, ADS in its infinite ignorance, hired the removed CEO ,(read fired), of Proctor and Gamble. Considering the vast environmental impact of ADS Corporation, if Proctor and Gamble felt that this guy was ineffective, why would ADS want to pick up someone else's garbage. By the way, where is this guy now? Probably, recently released, (read fired), from someplace like Lehman Brothers, or Fannie Mae. At any rate, this move proved to be a significant blow to ADS' market share. Dumb move!

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring CEOs who have no previous experience in the industry.

I have been working at ADS Environmental Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

depending on where you work, most of your hours are just spent on the road driving from site to site to for servicing. Training and safety is a priority for the company

    Cons

irregular hours. inconsistent schedule. lots of traveling. pay is low compared to industry standards. You WILL get dirty with sewer water.

    Advice to Management

share the work bonuses from the big contracts you get with the Field Reps and lower level employees. Pizza party's don't cut it. It would be nice to see more incentives and performance bonuses.

I worked at ADS Environmental Services full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    The hours are a plus

    Cons

You can't trust anyone or take their wors for it!

    Advice to Management

Stop lying to employees. They say they care but they really dont, just a weak attempt at motivating for more work to be done.

    Pros

The benefits are good. A lot of holidays are given, the vacation schedule is good. The insurance is very good, better than anywhere else. The working conditions are good. Fellow employees are very friendly and helpful to each other. Usually good relations with upper management.

    Cons

The pay scales are not in line with other places of similar work. The salaries are not as high with similar job descriptions in other places of employment. There are no bonuses. You are expected to get work done no matter what time frame with no compensation.

    Advice to Management

Bonuses should be included for those employees that work hard and long hours. Only a select few at the top have the possibility of getting a bonus. Employee reviews are completed only to check a box and are not used properly to accurately gauge employee work.
