    Its great when the security system you sold someone actually works and helps save a life or prevents a burglary.

    Cons

    Poor work life balance. Unreasonable expectations often.

    Take care of your internal customer and they will take care of the external customers.

    Pros

    In terms of salary and benefit, ADT is unbeatable in Boca Raton. They pay high dollar for the right talents. On the top of that, they also provide peeks to employees which is not common in South Florida, such as discounted yet yummy food, cookie day, popcorn day, complimentary gym/fitness classes etc.

    Cons

    The reality of the job is different from what they sold me during the interview. Also, the management style is confusing and lack of direction.

    Advice to Management

    Be more honest of the work nature during the interview so the candidate will not have any surprise from the very first day of the job.

    Pros

    Overtime. Work every Saturday if you want for OT. Depending on how much you work, you can make 1 and 1/2 x your base pay for the year, maybe a little more.

    Cons

    Its all about the numbers. Thats most jobs nowadays though

    Great people to work with in the Kansas City office. Great company - ample time off, healthcare affordable and good.

    Great company to work for... amazing people working in almost every company's functional areas.

    Cons

    People turn over is very high. A lot of changes in very short periods of time.

    Try to work on keeping outsiders. Contractors contribute greatly to the team

    Advice to Management

    Advice to custom homes management. If you are going to micro manage please learn the job at hand. Don't be so quick to say "this must change" and "that's not right "and you don't take calls. How can you provide criticism when you are unsure of the process yourself. Also hire Employees who come to work to do their job not worry about what's going on in other people's lives. Get rid of the Employees who do not come to work to actually assist customers. People like myself were forced to deal with already mad customers and now even more furious due to being told wrong information or erroneous trouble shooting tips.... The good ones like myself walked away and I actually loved the job...

    Pros

    It's what you make out of it. Flexible hours if you do it right. People in the office seemed to be honest and actually care about customers. Get good enough and you can sell directly over the phone instead of putting miles on your car.

    Cons

    Constantly have to keep the pipeline full. This isn't a job you will start immediately making tons of money at. You can't take your foot off the gas if you want to consistently make money here. certainly other sales jobs out there where you do a fraction of the leg work and can make double the money. If you aren't good over the phone, cold calling, being able to get your foot in the door to set appointments to strangers, getting multiple referrals from each home owner, joining/speaking at networking groups or being able to dedicate weekends to setting up booths in front of a location to draw business, constantly doing follow up with potential customers, setting your schedule and reminders for yourself and everything else that goes into basically running your own business then you simply will not succeed here don't even waste your time if you know you aren't that kind of person.

    Advice to Management

    Way too big of an emphasis on self generated leads and zero emphasis on closing company leads. Reps would have 10 self generated leads but only sell 1 out of 17 company leads yet they would be praised for how good they were doing. Reps with 14 out of 17 company leads sold but had only 3 self generated leads would be the ones getting talked to in the managers office for lack of performance. Kinda seems backwards
