    Pros

Excellent vertically integrated hotel asset management company with strong ownership guidance and first class leadership. Work with seasoned professionals with a team that is involved in all levels of ownership.

    Cons

There is limited growth as the focus on the company is to maintain their portfolio with limited growth. The slow growth can stifle opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Look for new opportunities to invest in the hospitality sector by branching out into other locations that may have improved performance. By cycling into other cities, risk is diversified.

I have been working at AECOM Tishman full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Most Tishman projects have a professional and organized working environment. The communication between Execs, PM's, Project Engineers, etc is very good. I have enjoyed working for this company the past 8 years and have learned a lot and have been treated very well. The upper management notice the strengths and weaknesses of its employees and adjusts accordingly. They also aren't afraid to see what you are made of by giving you a lot of responsibilities. Even after the buy-out by AECOM, Tishman still has the family feel. Everyone typically bonds and works together very well. The health benefits are great and the high-profile projects that Tishman works on in NYC makes you proud to be part of the company. By far the best choice of my career was accepting a job with Tishman

    Cons

    No cons about this company

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at AECOM Tishman as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Iconic projects, understanding of personal obligations, value on company loyalty, nice facilities, growing quickly for a large company (in NYC and in other locations)

    Cons

Older employees (especially in field), can be outdated in its practices, reliance on old relationships rather than performance, very little racial or ethnic diversity

    Advice to Management

Be more proactive in recruitment, especially out of college and young professionals.
Prioritize racial diversity in office settings, particularly management positions. The homogeneity of the management is glaring.
