I worked at AEG (More than a year)

    Pros

Management was flexible and attentive. You can't beat being able to enjoy the awesome events that are hosted at AEG venues.

    Cons

There is pretty much no opportunity for advancement. Working for them was decent for a college job, but there is a noticeable hierarchy and there were competent people who had been working for them for many years who had not advanced. Pay was pretty low.

    Advice to Management

Let some of the young college students in on growth opportunity. Talent retention should be better prioritized. Reasonable pay would have been nice as well.

I have been working at AEG part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I get paid to watch lots of cool shows. Most employees are nice. I've learned better communication skills and have encountered people from all walks of life.

    Cons

Some guests are extremely rude, but supervisors help you out. Not a lot of hours unless you ask for them or pick up shifts online. Parking can be a hassle.

    Advice to Management

Set up a phone text alert system when there's a change in parking status. When there's two shows going on at once (for Microsoft theater and staples center), parking is ridiculous. Employees shouldn't have to deal with parking the way that guests do. There should be better organization when it comes to where we park, so that we get to work on time, since most of us get there early enough as it is. I've been an hour early, but still arrived late for line up due to terrible parking. That's not right.

I worked at AEG as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

top company, friendly people, fairly divers

I worked at AEG (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great people, felt like a family working there.

    Cons

Many departments are undervalued, and pay reflects that rather than the work put in. Difficult environment for women.

    Advice to Management

Pay valued employees a salary that shows them how much you value them, regardless of whether they are part of a profit-creating department.
